[SLE] Failed service in runlevel 2: junkbuster

Hi there, I recently downloadad and installed junkbuster rpm -i junkbuster.rpm However, after boot I get the following messages: Starting Name Service Daemon /sbin/init.d/rc2.d/S84junkbuster: /etc/rc.d/init.d/functions: No such file or directory Master Resource Control: Failed service in runlevel 2: junkbuster What would be the problem? Also, When I do rpm -e junkbuster it doesn't uninstall anything. Why not? [SLE] Dual boot partitions?

Greetings -- I want to partition a drive so I can install both Win2K and Linux. I've read I should have a very small partition up front for boot? Is this correct? Can anyone give me the scoop on what partitions I best create and install what into what? Should I install Win2K first then Linux? And don't install LILO into the MBR? [SLE] (OT) Removing EZBios

Hi, everybody! I was hoping that somebody could tell me if it's possible or not (and hopefully how to) remove EZBios from a disk. Though not a Linux-specific issue, I was working on a project for my in-laws last week that involved a hard disk upgrade. Cheap, fast, reliable (no known fpu bugs for instance) and not part of the Wintel steamroller. SuperSocket 7 mobo's are also usually cheaper than the Slot1/SlotA boards for similar capabilities. [SLE] WordPro ... ?

We have just been sent a document which, from internal evidence, seems to be "smartsuite word pro" (presumably Lotus?). Does anyone out there know of Linux-available software which can read this stuff (and, preferaby, convert it to something usable, such as WordPerfect or, at a pinch, Word? Hi, I'm using SuSe 5.3 and is running fine for a very long time. I first install it with CDROM drive but later the cdrom drive is removed. Now I need to install c++ compiler to install mysql. Is there any method that I can install c++ back without having to reconnect cdrom? which package should I install?
