[SLE] konqueror I'm afraid

Hi, Can anyone help with any suggestions please. I don't routinely use kde but have the 2 betas installed which came with SuSE 7. However I would like to use konqueror. If I launch a kde2 session then all is well but when called from outside kde 2 I get a message saying cannot find dcop server followed by another which says cannot talk to klauncher. Good old KFM works fine from within windowmker. Where should I look to solve the problem? [SLE] YaST2 setting up Epson 760 printer?

Hi all, the suse sdb gives help for those unfortunate enough to have this printer, instructing them how to get round a faulty YaST2 set up for the printer. However, although the help is supposedly for 6.4 / 7.0 users, it tells us to manually look for stc740.upp drivers. These drivers do not exist on 6.4, so what are we to do - I can't find them anywhere on the SuSE sites, and the standard stcolor driver is really pretty poor. And it can only be set up using YaST1, where there seems to be a reduced list of drivers anyhow? It would be nice to have more than just a single quality to print out too in YaST1? Anyone know a way round so that we can use kfm / lp to print properly using the new drivers (i.e. ideally the 760 drivers, which are certainly out there for USB, weird they're not for parellel)? Can SuSE please change the instructions on the sdb page to allow 6.4 users a solution to this printer's set up? Fortunately there are fantastic drivers available (the latest rc from sourceforge) as Gimp plugins for this range of printer, so we can print images. But how are we to send LaTeX documents to be printed at high quality? We can't use the gimp plugin? I had a similar problem when trying to get a 16bit soundblaster to work with Quake, each time it was configured with alsa, Quake just froze. So to play it, I had to uninstall the modules loaded by yast2. I did this by allowing yast2 to detect the card, then just clicking back and back or just shutting it down. That way it seems to overwrite the configuration it had previously set up. [SLE] Unable to boot "auto" error

Hello, Our ftp server is unable to boot. The error message is : auto: auto: No such file or directory. I don't know how to solve the problem but the reasen is known. In our lab power goes down almost every three days. First when I encountred this problem, I reinstalled the system. But now this is the second time. Hello. I just did 'finger' on myself: On since Tue Oct 31 00:58 (EET) on :0, idle 40 days 16:20, from console Idle 40 days? Wow, what's wrong with that? Is the /var/run/utmp somehow corrupted? How can I fix this? Maybe this is a general bug in SuSE 7.0, because one friend of mine has the same strange thing. It put in the info into conf.modules (the one where it says 'don't remove') Well the sound worked but there was also a bunch of noise which I didn't have before. So I was out to compile my own stuff again. How do you properly remove what yast2 configured? Just taking out the stuff from conf.modules doesn't do it. On boot up it still gives the regular |sound card opl3-sa2 loaded "done"| message. I wouldn't have a problem with it but it also says |alsactl mixer error|. I can't get the amixer to connect right.
