[SuSE Linux] Autospell in Netscape Communicator 4.5

Does anyone know of a way to have Netscape Communicator 4.5 force a spell check before a message is sent? Hello, Can anyone help with this strange problem ?? I've been able to get my linux box to function in most ways and today I ran "compile kernel" by clicking on compile kernel in the KDE X-window. I selected all the appropriate bits that I thought were necessary and then let the compile run to it's end. I then re-booted the machine. When the machine came back up it immediately tried to dial my ISP which it did, and then couldn't log in. I re-started the KDE desktop and found that Kmail had stopped working. Then dialling started up to my ISP once again without me touching anything. When I click on the pppd option and connect to my ISP manually (which is the way it should be) I can sit here for along time whilst I'm still connected. However, as soon as I start XF Mail and click on "check mail" or "send mail" the pppd dies and gives me an error message. Anyone know what to do with this one ? (stop laughing down the back of the room there). I know, I could go and get some treatment or advice from my doctor. But, I'm getting used to standing on my head in front of the monitor and I like it that way. [SuSE Linux] Setting up Netscape

Hello there, Is there any site where thay explain how to set up Netscape? If there isn't such a site, would anyone be so kind and help me out? I have it installed but they don't explain how to set it up in the manual. [SuSE Linux] When is SuSE 6.0-English being released?

I saw a posting on comp.os.linux.misc that claimed they were using SuSE 6.0. I'm on subscription to SuSE. When are the subscribers receiving their copy? Jerry PS. Can't wait to get it! [SuSE Linux] why not wait for 2.2 on SuSE6.0

If out there there's anyone working at SuSE i wish to know why SuSE 6.0 will be .36 based with 2.1.130 as alternative kernel ??? If there're are problems on making it 2.2 based i wish to know which ones (i dont think this is the problem cause they declair 6.0 as 2.2 ready so...), and if the problem is only the time... that's NOT a problem, i prefer waitin and get real new stuff. This is only my idea or is there anybody out there agree with me ?! A few weeks ago, somebody on this list said "SuSE is more stable than Red Hat; just compare their errata sections." Well, now I require software that requires glibc (glibc has been out a year and a half, libc5 has been discontinued, I think that's not unreasonable). So I set out to upgrade. First I tried <A HREF="http://www.suse.com"><A HREF="http://www.suse.com</A">http://www.suse.com</A</A>>. What a dusty old web site! I hunted all over, but could find no updates section. I distinctly remembered downloading XF86 3.3.3 from an updates section, but 20 minutes of clicking could not find it. In despiration I tried <A HREF="http://www.suse.de/e"><A HREF="http://www.suse.de/e</A">http://www.suse.de/e</A</A>>, and got a very different web site! SuSE does NOT mirror its web sites! That's just sloppy. They should shut the U.S. site down if they're not going to use it. As it is, I think it's doing more harm than good. After hunting all around the European site, I found they still don't offer a glibc update. Incredible. Now I've got to waste my time adapting more Red Hat packages. My SuSE system is probably 10% Red Hat by now. While glibc is downloading, I have time to compare the errata pages. Yes, Red Hat's is longer. Know why? SuSE's stops in November! And that was an update for the 2.0.36 kernel; the next latest update is in October, 3 months ago! After seeing that, I took the time to compare like the person suggested. Here are some of Red Hat's updates since November: XFree86 3.3.3.1 Security and bug fixes. Security fixes to kernel 2.0.36 Security fixes in Samba Security fixes in Sysklogd XF86 3.3.3.1 has been available since 30 December! My SuSE XF86 3.3.3 can not run ImageMagick, xv, Maelstrom, or the Gimp because the X server bombs out with an error 11. Many people on this list have complained of the same bug. Red Hat's XF86 3.3.3 does not have this problem. Even if SuSE were not interested in security, you would think that they would want to fix this bug. But we have not heard word 1 from them about this. In fact, I have been on this list 2 months now, and the only thing I heard from anybody at SuSE, even when asked a direct question, was "sorry for filling your mail boxes with hundreds of fax denied and mailbox full messages." So, now I sit here, 3 hours lost and counting, trying to sort glibc conflicts. This means I get to come in to work tomorrow to do what I WANTED to get done today. So much for the weekend.
