hi ppl, When i start my linux-box, i got the following msg: ------------------------------------------- Uncompressing Linux...done. Hy Phil The abbreviation S.u.S.E. stands for "Gesellschaft für _S_oftware _u_nd _S_ystem_e_ntwicklung". It means "Company for Software- and Systemdevelopement". But don't ask me for what this "critter" stand for. You can check/change that with the 3.5"-disk you got with it... I know we had that problem for a few users on our LAN who have Realtek-network-cards, and when you leave it as PnP, it needs the Realtek driver under Windows (and I don't think there is one under Linux, because you don't really need one ;-)), but when it is NOT PnP, it is NE2000-PCI-compatable: under Windows, you _must_ use the generic NE2000-driver, so... Well, I really like having my ascii pages print two pages to a page but there are some instances where I want it it print one per page. How? I know it has something to do with "Z Options" but I don't know how to use them. Yes, but the trick is, you have to configure it as *non*-PnP (plug'n'play), and _only then_ it will be NE2000-PCI-compatable... [S.u.S.E. Linux] delete under vi

Anyone had a problem with vi about the 'delete' key? I had no problem until now. When I push it in 'insert' mode, '^?' is written. I don't know why. I didn't change any vi options and didn't modify the keyboard table. Any idea? Thanks a lot.
