[opensuse] Problems with 15.0 Update-Non-Oss?

Yesterday evening I noticed that my systems complained about the Update-Non-Oss repository. It still does today: Warning: Repository 'openSUSE-Leap-Update-Non-Oss' appears to be outdated. Consider using a different mirror or server. I was under the impression that 15.0 had a couple of months left before eol. [opensuse] use of "FN" key on toshiba laptop

Using TW latest as of July 26 and XFCE desktop. I purchased a new SSD and installed TW fresh. I've lost the ability to use the "FN" key along with the function key for changing volume, brightness and switching between the LCD/HDMI outputs. Is there a specific package I need to install to restore those features? [opensuse] Concern about missing rpms in recent downloads...

I pull down updates to my local server on an irregular basis, but do so by getting the filenames from the sets of repo files like those fitting a path expansion of: repodata/{appdata-ignore.xml.gz,repomd.xml{,.asc,.key}} Which seem to list all of the files for a given release. [opensuse] Trying to open a clonezilla image in openSUSE

Hi, I am trying to restore or at least browse the contents of a clonezilla made image. I found the pertinent question in the FAQ: <https://drbl.org/faq/fine-print.php?path=./2_System/43_read_ntfsimg_content…> For example, I try this method: +++............... Method 3: Use the tool partclone-utils to mount the image directly. (//NOTE// This program is not maintained by Clonezilla team. However, it will be included in the future release of partclone when the new release, e.g. 0.2 is released.). The example to use partclone-utils to mount the image, and still you need to prepare enough disk space for that: * Boot Clonezilla live * Mount the image repository, as normal usage when restoring. However, do not restore the image. Here we just need to read the image * The following commands have to be run as root (administrator). Therefore run "sudo -i" to become root. Say if your image is /home/partimag/YOURIMAGE/, if the image is like /home/partimag /YOURIMAGE/sda1.ext4-ptcl-img.gz*, from the file name you know its file system is ext4, and is gzipped. You can run cat /home/partimag/YOURIMAGE/sda1.ext4-ptcl-img.gz.aa* | gzip -d -c > /home/partimag/my-sda1-img This command will generate a single uncompressed image file "my-sda1-img" in the dir /home/partimag/. * modprobe nbd * imagemount -d /dev/nbd0 -f /home/partimag/my-sda1-img * mount -t ext4 /dev/nbd0 /mnt Now you have all the files in the dir /mnt/. * When everything is done, you can: umount /mnt/ pkill imagemount ...............++- The problem here is that the command "imagemount" I can not find on openSUSE (Leap 15.0). (I installed partclone) So I try another method. ...............++- Method 2: 1 Prepare a large disk in Linux 2 Say if your image is /home/partimag/YOURIMAGE/, if the image is like /home/partimag/YOURIMAGE/*-ptcl-img.* (e.g. /home/partimag/YOURIMAGE/sda1.ext4-ptcl-img.gz.aa), follow this to restore the image. If the the image is like /home/partimag/YOURIMAGE/sda1. ntfs-img.aa, sda1.ntfs-img.ab..., run "file /home/partimag/YOURIMAGE/sda1.ntfs-img.aa" to see it's gzip, bzip or lzop image. [opensuse] ssh + thunderbird /firefox behavior

Hi, i use thunderbird sometimes over ssh. as i understand ssh normally should run and use all (files) (not hardware) resources from server. why did thunderbird do it in this way: if i have an thunderbird open local and ssh thunderbird to a server, it will not open a second thunderbird, it will pop up the already local thunderbird. if i have no local thunderbird open, and i ssh thunderbird, the thunderbird from server will opend and i have all contacts+on-server-stored mails available. [opensuse] Can't write Google Calendars - 15.1 KDE

Since updating to 15.1, I can no longer write to Google calendars in Thunderbird or Seamonkey. I get an error message "No writable calendars are..." I have tried recreating the calendars, but they still don't work. They continue to work in another system that's still 15.0. Any ideas? I just read a news article about the availability of DNS over HTTPS in Firefox and as a result decided to try it. I'm using FF on Leap 15.0 There is a network.trr.mode config setting that was 0. If I set that to 3 (DoH is enabled, and regular DNS is disabled AFAIK) and network.trr.uri to https://mozilla.cloudflare-dns.com/dns-query then I can't reach https://duckduckgo.com/ for example. If I set network.trr.mode to 2 (2 - DoH is enabled, and regular DNS works as a backup) then I can reach it. I infer that DoH is not working for some reason and it is falling back on normal DNS, but I'm at a loss how to investigate. How can I tell whether FF uses DoH or not on a particular request? How can I see why it is failing? [opensuse] My Thunderbird is misbehaving since the last security update.

Hi, My Thunderbird is misbehaving since the last security update. For instance, on this message (Spanish, but the text is irrelevant): <https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-es/2019-07/msg00038.html> It displays only the part that was signed with GPG, ie, the previous message. The new text that forms the post I was sent, is missing. I can see it with "View Message Source", or with Alpine. But not Thunderbird. I have received the same post on two mail accounts, and both show the same behaviour. I have noticed other erratic behaviour. When I reply to some posts, using reply to list or reply to all, parts are missing: the line that should say that somebody said this on this day and hour is missing. And the previous quote gets a single ">" instead of two. I can try to identify the post But if I highlight the entire received post and then hit reply to list, the text is correct (except that the signature is not removed). It happens on this post - also on the Spanish mail list, dunno if related: <https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-es/2019-07/msg00028.html> When I hit "reply to list" on that post, I the text that I wrote with single quote char (>), when it should get two.
