[opensuse] firewall blocking apcupsd 3551

Have 2 apc units on two boxes and both are working but I cannot figure out how to configure the firewall to allow communication of both units to a single computer. computer1 is a desktop server apc on and working computer2 is a desktop workstation apc on and working Installed gapcupsd-gui on computer2 and configured to monitor local apc Added computer1 apc address but cannot refresh/communicate, NISERR NIS network err... [opensuse] oS 13.2 wt KDE4: foreign file systems are mounted in /var/media/user after login

Hello: This is in openSUSE 13.2 with KDE4 login session: I wanted do an fsck of the root partition of the other OS (/dev/sda2) installed on the same hard disk and found that the partition is mounted in /run/media/user. fstab does not define the given partition for mounting. How can it still be mounted? This automatic mounting of foreign partitions can cause file system damage therefore I find it unacceptable. Especially if the other partition is a member a raid group it can lead to degradation of the raid array. What setting enables and which program mounts automatically file systems not mentioned in fstab? How can this be prevented system wide? Hello, Just a word to say that my last update of my 13.1 server broke owncloud. [opensuse] limiting output from find <dir> ?

Does anyone know of a way of limiting output from "find" which doesn't involve looking up the entire directory and piping through head etc ? Hello I had to ditch the qpopper server I have been using for decades and pulled the dovecot server down with zypper. I'm having trouble setting it up. I started it by hand but were does it log and how can I set it up to start out of the box? Is it using xinetd?
