[opensuse] oS 12.1: DSL device are not shown in YaST configuration window

Hello: I have configured DSL internet connection in openSUSE 12.1. The network is working, but I can't modify the connection's properties as the DSL devices window in YaST is empty, that is it does not show the configured device(s). The providers window shows the configured providers normally. I would like to change the connection mode of the DSL device but I can't since there is nothing to select in the devices window. This works well in my openSUSE 11.2 system. Is this a bug in oS 12.1 or am I missing something? Is there a fix? Hi 12.1 in HA setup with 2 DNS corresponding to two replicating DC's. DC1 192.168.1.2, DC2 192.168.1.3 Our internal zones are loaded fine after boot, but hitting any of the forwarders pointing out to Internet fails. Here is the line in /etc/named.conf on DC1: forwarders { 217.70.240.135; 217.70.70.136; 192.168.1.3 }; and on DC2: forwarders { 217.70.240.135; 217.70.70.136; 192.168.1.2 }; Both the forwarders are online and nslookup-able e.g.: lynn@hh1:~> nslookup > 217.70.240.135 Server: 192.168.1.2 Address: 192.168.1.2#53 Non authoritative answer: 135.240.70.217.in-addr.arpa name = dns1.dragonet.es. Hello All, This is my first posting to the list. I would like to announce. That a port of R.B.K Dewar's, Macro Spitbol, is now available for linux. It is released and maintained by Dave Shields. Below is a copy of his original announcement to the Spitbol mail list. And a link to the download site. I have compiled it onto both OpenSuse 64 & 32bit systems. And I made a small correction to the makefile to produce a makefile that works with all versions of 12.1 And I have a tgz of it if anybody would like. Does this list take attachments? If it does I could upload a nifty example database program that I wrote years ago. It does not use tables, arrays, or lists. It is extremely fast, very small (about one page) and is very difficult to produce in a structured language. Snobol4 language is both unstructured and structured. [opensuse] SuSE 12.1: KMail 4.7.2 unusable

I just transferred my emails from my old kmail to the kmail 4.7.2 in OpenSuSE 12.1 via import. Afterwards akonadi_agent_l is really going "mad". When I tried to resort the approx 65k of SuSE mailinglist stuff it went "mad" second time (I had to kill kmail and akonadi_agent_l). Sometimes nepomukservices, akonadi_nepomuk, akonadiserver also jump in and the (quadcore !) machine uses nearly 90% of CPU for that crap! What are these programs doing (I was not able to find a manpage for this on my downloaded 12.1)? Can I make them completely silent or switch them off? Just wondering... On other M.L. (debian, ubuntu, fedora, centos) i noticed quite some messages about frozen systems due to the leap-second lately. One of my cp-workers decided to replace my sles-xen machine with a debian-based proxmox-kvm-host. As a result, he had to reboot the system (frozen stiff) and all clients died along... >From what i understood, was it not only kernel and ntp-stuff, but it produced race conditions in mysql and java. Anyone encountered likewise conditions? Or were these conditions foreseen & tested in suse?
