[opensuse] NFS Client on Suse 11.3

Dear all, After many experiments I am back at 11.2 (linux kernel 2.6.34.6). Why? Well NFS client is not working out of the box or with updates. NFS Server is working fine, but whatever try under 11.3, it's not working. After some time, I thought it would be the kernel causing the problem, but reverting back to earlier 2.6.34 versions or even going as high as 2.6.35.4 did not do anything. Guess the NFS client utilities are broken. Any suggestions? [opensuse] Skype chat problem

Hi all, I'm using SuSE 11.2 with Skype 2.1.0.47 it seems to work when I phone the test call. BUT everytime I try to use chat Skype cashes. Does anyone else have this problem? [opensuse] My thunderbird has stopped working

Hi, My Thunderbird has stopped working. I see a white empty left and right panel. Both empty. Many menues do not work. Log out, log in of the session doesn't help. However, it works alright, it seems, if I use -safe-mode. I do not see errors in an xterm, except: cer@Elessar:~> thunderbird -safe-mode *** nss-shared-helper: Shared database disabled (set NSS_USE_SHARED_DB to enable). which I think is not related. Anyhow I tried the suggestion above prior to making my post, and tried setting hw clock to UTC and I still have a 1 hour diff, regardless if hwclock is set to local or UTC. Another words system clock is always set to 1 hour off regardless if hwclock is local or UTC. For now only way system clock is correct, is I have set the hwclock to one hour off, then when system clock is set it works. I'm open to ideas. The update manager is trying to update Firefox 3.6.3 on this openSuSE v11.1 64bit system, and claims it can't find the Subject package. I have found v3.12.8-2.1 and installed the rpm manually. Doing so seems not to have had no effect, because I am getting exactly the same error message about its inability to provide this package. [opensuse] cannot mount external HD

Hello, When attaching my external HD with enrcypted partition with ReiserFS, the disk is recognized, the passphase is asked, and then the partition-name is shown. But I cannot open it in dolphin, and mounting the volume with the device manager fails. How can I run the required fsck? If you can help, please consider that I have more or less no clue of file systems etc... [opensuse] Xorg from OBS on 11.2

Hi, I updated my 11.2 system to KDE4.4 and Xorg from OBS, what's the current recommended X setup procedure?, I've read many times that xorg.conf is deprecated and I shouldn't even need to configure anything, but after the update the synaptics module is not loaded anymore.
