[opensuse] Repair Broken SSH

I have a system with a broken installation of openssh, suddenly one day I can not use the scp command at all. I removed all config files relating to ssh and removed/reinstalled the openssh package, now besides the scp command being broken I can not even start the SSH service, it complains about the RSA keys are not generated. I don't care about the configuration or preserving anything. Hey! There were complains about KDE4 and multihead support. [opensuse] Where did it come from?

OpenSuSE 11.2 on a 64bit AMD CPU I had not rebooted my system recently until just a few minutes ago. Much to my surpris the login sreen now has a Citadel service account, and root is no longer showing (although I can login as root, which is fortunate becasue a change I made to my user .bashrc necessitated the reboot so that I could correct the error - which I successfully did), but I digress. What I would like to know is where did the Citadel service account come from? I had never heard of Citadel until I googled it just now. Any insights to this will be most appreciated. [opensuse] Non=generic icon in v11.3/kde4 desktop folder?

I've placed in the Desktop Folder a link to a frequently used Java app. KDE assigns to it a generic icon with a shapely but uninformative large question mark. I have other icons, in various formats, suitable for use with this app. Is there a way to induce kde4 to use it? There is a related matter that I would like to understand: In v11.1/kde3, most, but not all, of the icons shown for the issues of Scientific American that I keep in a folder were mini-images of the respective covers; I have no idea why, if kde knew how to make some icons in this way, if failed to do so for others and had to use a generic icon. In v11.3/kde4, ALL the icons are Acrobat symbols (these are PDF files), with no cover images at all. [opensuse] Appletalk and more than one Linux box

Hallo, We have 2 Macs and a number of OpenSUSE boxes on our network. I have started to set up TimeMachine on the Macs to use the OpenSUSE backup server as destination using AFP (netatalk). That works fine so far. But, I would also like to access certain folders on the other Linux desktops from the Macs. The same username is used on the Linux boxes. As soon as I set up natatalk on another Linux box and I want to connect to it from the Mac, it seems to get confused. The mac shows both Linux machines, but it will show the shares of the first box it connects to for both of them. Example: Obelix (openSUSE 11.3 backup system) AFP shares: - obelix_andre_timemachine - obelix_willa_timemachine Vitalstatistix (openSUSE 11.3 dev workstation) AFP shares: - vitalstatistix_andre - vitalstatistix work So, if I first connect to Obelix and then to Vitalstatistix, both of them show obelix_andre_timemachine and obelix_willa_timemachine and vice versa if I connect to Vitalstatistix first. Any idea how I need to set up netatalk so that the Mac will be able to access the shares on both systems? Or is there something I need to set up on Apple? [opensuse] Best App to use to grab video from DV camera to hard drive?

Guys, Just looking to see if someone has a favorite app that will get the video from your digital video camera to your hard drive. The connection is over 1394 firewire. I would love something that works from the CLI that is scriptable. I don't need the full video editing suite for just grabbing the raw video. I'm just looking for something where I can load the tape into the camera and do something like type: ~> dldVideo and go do something else for an hour, come back, change tapes and: ~> dldVideo again....
