[opensuse] Firefox 3 is missing "Open with.." selection

Hi, I have upgraded my FF2 to 3.0 beta while I was running 10.3 (using the beta repository), After that I made an upgrade to 11.0. The thing is, that now I do not have "Open with ..." selection when I click on a link to some types of files. If I right-click on the link and select Save link as ... it will open the file selection dialog. If I click on the link as normal, it pops up a dialog only with "Save" button, there is no "Open with" so I can select an application to deal with the file. Can somebody confirm this problem? Anyone knows how to fix it? [opensuse] opensuse 11.0 requires kernel re-setup for VirtualBox on reboot

Folks, I never had this problem with 10.3, but now whenever I reboot my 11.0 x64 pc, Virtual Box asks to have the kernel module re-created/re-setup. I know there was some traffic on this back with 10.3, but I did not see anything on google for 11.0! Has anyone else had this problem? What was the "fix" for this? If I click on home icon in kicker, then click on the desktop icon in the konqueror window that opens up, I can find the trashbin icon there. I can click on it and use the trashbin functions in the konqueror window, so it still works. But don't know how to get a functional trashbin icon back on the desktop. [opensuse] kmail or provider problem?

Hello, I need some of my e-mails to be left on the server after I check them using kmail/pop3 (so that my secretary at home can still see the incoming mails even if I have checked them before en route). So in kmail settings/accounts I checked "leave mail on server". But everytime I check the mails, the mails are deleted from the server. Is this a problem of kmail or of my mail-hoster? Or do I have to do something more than just cklick "leave mail on server" for that account? [opensuse] How to install OpenSuSE 11.0 on a Vista Laptop

I'd like to know what the best solution is for dual boot on a Vista Laptop and installing OpenSuSE 11.0. Install with dual boot..? Virtual Machine first...? (I haven't played with Virtual Desktops) Let Grub handle it al...? [opensuse] Problem with sudoers

Hi there, I have the line "sudo /etc/do_sth.sh" in /etc/bash.basrc.local Additionally i added the line ALL ALL=NOPASSWD: /etc/do_sth.sh to sudoers (using visodu). Still, either when opening a terminal or typing "sudo /etc/do_sth.sh", I am prompted for root's password. Is the idea of NOPASSWD not to prompt for password? [opensuse] Suse on an EeePc: No Make

Hello I am currently trying to get Suse 10.3 on my EeePC, but I encounter 3 problems. First, I have no make. I would like to install the Madwifi drivers to get my wifi card working, but there is no make. I gave Suse all the space available (7.5G) , because I want to use an external USB stick as /home/user/documents and I do not expect to need more than 1G of memory so no swap space. Second: The system always needs the original USB stick I used to install in order to boot. I would like it to be able to boot from the internal ssd. Third: I cannot play mp3 files. Somehow it is not possible to decode mp3 files with Amarok. The first and third problems are strange: I can do both with my full Suse 10.3 system, but not with the EeePC. I have an almost default installation on the EeePC. I just removed Beagle and all that need it and set the partitioner to use the entire disk for /. Neil -- There are two kinds of people: 1. Hello: Where can I find openSUSE 10.3 NVIDIA driver packages for older than the newest updated kernels? (eg. for kernel- default-2.6.22.5-31, kernel-default-2.6.22.17-0.1)? [opensuse] KDE 4.1beta2 and icon transparency issue

I am having an issue with icons in KDE 4.1beta2, and I was hoping someone could help me out. When I first installed opensuse 11, the icons all had nicely transparent backgrounds...just the image and text. Now, though, they all have an obnoxious grey square around them. Someone in the opensuse.org forums recommended changing my theme to restore that, but it doesn't seem to have helped. It just darkens or lightens the background, depending on the theme. Does anyone know how I can get the icons back to being transparent? Thanks!
