okay. So I added the text plugin and that fixed the max/min/close buttons. Now my only question is yet, how to get the sphere look when switching desktop #'s other manually initiating the cube. Like if I click on square 3 I want to to cube into it not just fade into it. -- Michael S. I did as you reccomended and deleted the compiz directory. That helped at least fix my setup (I borked it kinda...) I don't have fusion -icon and it's not in the repos that I could see. Ufortunately I won't be able to work on this again really until the weekend. I figured what I would do is uninstall compiz again and then reinstall it again after I have deleted the compiz directory. [opensuse] Connection Question

I have an odd question. I don't really *need* this but I wonder if it can be done. I often telecommute to work. Particularly in the evenings, I work at home. I can either load a VM - such as - Vista or work directly. When I load the VM, I run the VPN client (Cisco with a RSA key FOB) from the VM. My "main" network is not touched and openSUSE is still on my "home" network. When I load the VPN client (Cisco VPN Client 4.8.00) from openSUSE I connect the computer entirely to my corporate network. Now the question - every once in a while, I decide I need to print something locally. I currently share a printer with my wife's computer (Windows 2000 Pro) over SMB. Is there any way I can run on the vpn with my corporate network yet attach locally to my home connection? [opensuse] Cannot install mplayer-1.0rc2 from packman due to libdirectfb-1.1.so.0

Just thought I'd let the list know that I cannot install Mplayer because no libdirectfb-1.1.so.0 resolvable. I checked and all I see is libdirectfb-1.2.so.0 .. I can try just installing and making a sym link to 1.2, but I hope this can be fixed at the root of the problem before the release. BTW This is 11.1 Beta 3, and Packman 11.1 repository. [opensuse] videos for openoffice 3

Hello, I try to include videos in openoffice (3) impress, but none wants to insert. Hi. For an RMA I got this info when I read the mail: Please use a HTML enabled browser to view this e-mail I use Thunderbird. I run openSUSE 11.0. I can also run Kmail, but none of the 2 mentioned mailers seems to be able to could read HTML mails. [opensuse] Basic Compositing Workstation Linux

Hello, I just installed the SUSE 11.0 from the download DVD, and now updates..... I was trying to download BLENDER from the DVD, but then it tells me I need a bunch of there programs... I am confused...How come it isn't as easy as installing a PACKAGE? I have tried to download .deb files only to find that they decompress on the desktop and do nothing... why all these extra steps? is this supposed to be better than OSX or WINDOWS? Well, safer than Windows I hope... I am scared now to install all these gizmos and gadgets.....other programs.....in the UPDATE list... WHICH ones do I really need ? and which ones are for the BASIC BARE BONES COMPOSITING WORKSTATION? I wish to run GRAPHICS COMPOSITING for MOTION PICTURES On this....and I have heard COMBUSTION (AutoDesk) runs on LINUX, as do other programs such as MAYA... My goal for LINUX is to get the BASE system...OSX is heavy...and WINDOWS is unbearable.... Can anyone out there lend a super tip to a FILMMAKER just wanting to learn the BASIC LINUX rules for these INSTALLS ? which do you need vs. what is an option... thanks so much... any other COMPOSITORS would be honored by my gratitude! Does anyone know if there are suitable drivers anywhere available for this Video chipset? Have recently bought a M/B with this onboard video, and so far have not been able to get it to work properly (only 1280x1024). Running Suse11 x64, KDE3.5 etc. Have upgraded Xorg to the latest off Suse Repos. Everything else with the board (ASUS P5QL-EM) works fine. Any ideas?
