usbnet not automatic loaded

Hi, i install super suse, but i have a SB4200 cable modem, that was detected but do not loaded the driver ( SB1000 ), i just get into Yast and put the driver manually, but it doesn't work, because the module "usbnet" is not loaded at boot time, now i have to load it manually every time i boot ( modprobe usbnet ), is that a bug ?? can i fix it ?? Feature wishlist: Comment on Separate partitions for /root and /home directories as installation default

This is my comment on the following feature: http://www.opensuse.org/Feature_Wishlist#Separate_partitions_for_.2Froot_an… The problem here is that we would need an algorithm that does this in the proper way. Here're some questions: * How large should / be in comparison to /home? * Should / have x % of the free space? * What is the minimal size of / ? * What is the minimal size of /home ? If somebody comes up with an algorithm and people agree that it's the right way to go, then I'll talk to our yast folks and try to get it implemented at some time. How to know physical hard disk usage?

I need to know which sectors of a partition are occupied with data and which not, like the display on Windows defragmenters. How to do this? (SUSE 9.3 and 10 RC 1) df, du and KDirStat don't help me here. Googled some, but no results. Maybe I was using the wrong keywords. Can anybody help me? I was trying to setup SuSE 9.3 and 10 so as to have https work I tried using Yast2 which seemed to work correctly but soon there after using my public_html directory gives me this. _______________________ Access forbidden! You don't have permission to access the requested object. It is either read-protected or not readable by the server. If you think this is a server error, please contact the webmaster. Error 403 ____________________________ This in apache 1.3 and it less convoluted http.conf files I could have found it and fixed it. However, in Apache 2 i don't have a clue. I thought I found in /etc/apache2 edited it a restarted apache2 - no improvement Any clue? Hi All I am trying to run the simplest of perl scripts. However when in Internet Explorer as in Mozilla as in Firefox i always get the same error message http://peterspretpaleis.dyndns.org:8000/cgi-bin/guestbook.cgi Premature end of script headers: guestbook.cgi the contens of this script is #!/usr/bin/perl print ?Content-type: text/html\n\n?; print ?< html> ?; print ?< body> ?; print ?< h2> I just wrote my first web page using Perl!< /h2> ?; print ?< /body> ?; print ?< /html> ?; http://www.novell.com/coolsolutions/feature/11790.html and perl finds the syntax ok can someone shed some light on this or direct me to a place where i might find the answer? Konqueror doesn't allow me to delete a file I have full rights to

Please see: http://home.ripway.com/2005-2/258162/temp/konqueror-is-krazy.png which is a screenshot I uploaded upon the bizarre phenomenon in which Konqueror says that I cannot delete a file which I am the owner of. See the owner column - I am samjnaa. It is a file on my Windows partition (soon to be extinct...) Please advise me what to do? Feature wishlist: Comment on Gnome and KDE selection

This is my comment on the following feature: http://www.opensuse.org/Feature_Wishlist#Gnome_and_KDE_selection Such a comparision is difficult to do. We added something since the later betas where we do a rough job comparing them and show the logos instead of the tiny thumbnails. The choice of desktop is so subjective and personal that it's difficult to give a neutral comparison. If anybody has one, I'll appreciate it and review it. Note that we're currently not making a choice for the default desktop, this is a choice that the users have to do. As mentioned last week, I'm going now through the feature wishlist and like to give my comments, here's the comment on: ATI-cards support We're currently testing a solution simila to the Nvidia solution where you download the needed files.
