default browser

Hi. Evolution has an option to open a URI in a browser but when a link in a message is clicked nothing happens. There is nowhere that I can find to set a default browser in Evolution so I guessing it's maybe a Suse thing. A google search only found me a few dead ends. So a hint on opening a browser Firefox for preference would be a great help. 9.2 is the version. Thanks in advance. Roger

How to automaticly copy and rename folders/files from automounted USB device?

Hi all! I have this USB cam that is found and automounted under SuSE 9.1 But i need a script/program that will automaticly rename the folder that is found in the camera and transfer it to the harddrive. Prefarably rename the folder with a running number, so i know in what order i "emptied the cam" I tried usbautocam from http://warmcat.com/usbautocam/ but i cant get it do transfer anything. Hi All I have setup a wireless LAN, one access point connected with a coax cable to an aerial to give me wireless access to the internet. Connected to this AP I have another AP connected by Ethernet cable and it all works fine. My question is, when I fire up Kwifimanager I get info about the second AP but I want to get trough to the AP connected to the aerial to put in some filters and see the signal strengths and connection speed. [SLE} How replace YAST?

I have clobbered my Yast and cannot get beyond "yast2 is starting up". It seems that there should be an easy way to reinstall yast but I can't find it. I am using Suse 8.2 Pro. Can anyone help me? aa6vn(a)pacbell.net

Krename problem ...

Hi all... I've tried to use krename under 9.2 but it keeps crashing. It starts, but then whenever I try to do anything it crashes before I can work with it. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong? Or what I'm trying to do is shorten around 600 mp3 files. They all have the very same first 10 letters. I want to remove them. Can someone make a suggestion? xdm issue

Hello list I've been trying for 2 days to solve this and as my nerves home come to an end..i need your help I need to use a very light login manager, so i went for xdm. Now, how do i make xdm autologin a user in xfce4 or at least start xfce4 by default and not twm when a user logs in? And if xdm can't do that, what else should i try (except of course for kdm and gdm)? Or did anyone manage to run slim login manager corectly (I don't have keyboard in slim...)? thanks Josephine
