Dear Suser's, I am faced with a rather weird problem. I have a raid personality running as /dev/md0. SuSE 9.1, OpenLDAP fine as user ldap, OpenLDAP/TLS only works as user root

I'm trying to get OpenLDAP/TLS working on SuSE 9.1. First I got OpenLDAP without TLS working running as user and group ldap. Then I added the necessary lines to slapd.conf for TLS. The user ldap owns all my certificates and the owning group for them is also ldap. If I run slapd as root, OpenLDAP/TLS works fine. If I run it as ldap, I get the following errors, Client: ldap_start_tls: Connect error (-11) additional info: error:14077410:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:sslv3 alert handshake failure Server: TLS: error:1408A0C1:SSL routines:SSL3_GET_CLIENT_HELLO:no shared cipher s3_srvr.c:887 If I remove the TLS stuff from slapd.conf and run slapd as user ldap, it again works fine. Walt, I have samba 3.0.7 running on Suse 9.0 pro and Mandrake 7.2. XP clients with SP2. I have fixed numerous slowness issues. I can't decode the debug info below, but what I need to know is "what box you printer is hanging off of??" Is it attached to your linux box or the xp box?? If it is attached to the linux box, you will have to keep working the problem. In this case it is most likely an xp/username problem that you will have to tell cups about so that xp will talk to cups nicely. Thanks, Carlos. I checked into the README as suggested the other day, and it looks like the answer to this is indeed right there. My antivir_update script works OK, but does not include any checking for the return code. The README has an example of what I should be using, but I'd like confirmation of the logic. The example is: #!/bin/sh /usr/lib/AntiVir/antivir --update -q case $? in 0) echo "AntiVir is up-to-date" ;; 1) echo "AntiVir has updated itself" ;; *) echo "AntiVir had an error trying to update" ;; esac To me, this seems to do the following: 1. antivir --update tries to do the update 2. when the update is done, case receives the return code from the update process 3. if the return code is 0 or 1, all was well, anything else is bad 4. because the case statement will always get a hit (because of the wildcard), it will always return a 0 (TRUE ?) back to cron, thereby making sure cron thinks the job ran OK. #4 is what I'm a bit fuzzy on. The script antivir_update is the culprit, it is not returning a zero value. I can play RealPlayer video from most sites except this: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/genome/program.html# The Cambuca rpms don't play it either.
