Is amavisd for postfix no longer available in 8.2? I cannot find it. (ftp install of 8.2) Somebody have a link, or can I just use the one for 8.1? TIA L1

[SLE] NFS-Transfer with Rescue Boot-CD #2

Hello folks! Can anybody please point me how to manually setup an NFS connection using the Suse7.3 Rescue Disc? I am booting the Recovery Section, but then, how can I speak to the eth0 (NE2000) and how can I then setup IP numbers to have the option to share NFS-shares? Script for mkisofs+cdrecord

Call me old-fashioned, hehe, but I still burn my CDs from console... But I imagine to do all that in a script or at least in a pipe. Now, knowing that I am no good at that, I ask you. How would I "mkisofs" the image and actually burn it in ONE line? OK! I'm confused!

Trying to rip and copy cd's for the first time. Ran through the setup in K3b and in Grip. Looks great! Both applications see the cd and download the info from CDDB just fine. When it comes time to rip or copy the cd, both applications give up and say they're not going to do it. So I log in as root and try it there. No problem, they both work fine. So I check permissions on my cd-rom device and change it from root to me. I log in as myself again, and the same thing happens again. So I open both apps as root and me, and check item by item in the configs. Set them up exactly the same, and tried again. Same problem. They run as root, but not me. Configs are the same. Device shows I have permissions, and yes I belong to the group. What's the problem? I know it's got to be simple, but I'm just missing it. I could run it as root, but would like to be able to allow another user to rip and write also. new MB recommendations

Would like a new MB for Pentium 4 at 2.4 GHz. ATX, with sound (2 channels is fine), without video, with LAN, will plug in 512 MB of DDR333 until price comes down, like 533 MHz bus speed. What is hyper-threading technology, and should I have it? What would I have to add to use it? Should have at least 4 card slots plus video slot. Machine will be used for audio processing (de- noising tapes and old records for CD) and a small amount of AutoCad Lite, along with the usual, but not games. Must run SuSE Linux without problems, and Win98SE with as few as usually happen. I have Tiger catalog vol. Xiii issue AFB. Thanx.--doug

RPM redirection
