easy way to adjust time in gnome

I'm using gnome 1.4 (SuSE 8.0). I would like to know what is the easy way to correct my hours (and minutes and day, month, etc.). thanks a. duplicate list messages

I seem to have sent triplicates of my message in Konqueror through my web-mail program. I have also recieved many so. Is this a web-mail problem? I don't get any indication of the mail going for long periods so I click again and again. I suppose I should setup Kmail ASAP. Thom Nuzum thom(a)cavtel.net

FYI - 9.0 on a Compaq Presario 1720 laptop

Received 9.0 on wednesday installed on the laptop last night with one glitch. If I have ACPI turned on and try and configure the sound the machine locks up instantly when starting the sound. And any reboots fail. If I turn off ACPI the sound gets installed and works. In order to use ACPI I need to boot with ACPI turned off and remove the sound card from the configuration first and then boot with ACPI. -- Ken Schneider unix user since 1989 linux user since 1994 SuSE user since 1998 (5.2)

DVD-Program conflict(returned DVD-player with SUSE PRo)

Hi Folks, (thanks for all the hardware recommendations) My DVD-player plays CDs. Playing DVDs it locks-up and I cannot open the drive bay. I installed the latest xine build. I suppose xine is the only thing that will work. I did install all multimedia packages from professional initially and I did not uninstall anything including old crippled xine. Should I remove all mulimedia: sound and start from scratch? Very stupid me: returned the Pioneer DVD-Rom player thinking it was the culprit. I left my SuSE 9.0 Pro DVD in it. I have to get it today before some poor Windows users installs it from the discount bin. Happy Halloween! Thom Nuzum thom(a)cavtel.net

ldap configuration

I was trying to set up openldap and the first problem I've run into is an issue with the protocol version. It seems that if I check or uncheck the option for V2 protocol I get an entry in the logs for "You can't use that protocol" Before I submit this as a bug, is there something I should be checking first? I am also running into a problem with ldapadd -af foo.ldif with a response of: ldap_sasl_interactive_bind_s: Internal (implementation specific) error (80) additional info: SASL (-13): user not found: no secret in database I was trying to use this as root, I would have thought root user would be "found" help?

has anyone found a php-gtk that works with suse (any suse version over 7.1 will do ;) ) ... I tried installing from source on a 7.3 box, but got lost in dependecy hell . The exact php-version (forgot which) that is required was not available, so I installed the latest php, but that one again has slight differences and things break again ... kprinter settings

To Ken and Charles: Sorry to have been so angry,but I am not a troll. I do NOT understand Linux thoroughly, but have tried to use SuSe 8.1 and now 8.2, but lately have been trying to get off Windows as much as I can. I have my Canon BJC-2100 setup as per your prescription, but, must confess, cannot find kprinter to check or enable the settings. I can say that OpenOffice itself will not keep the margins for the verticle ruler in inches, as soon as I change and say OK at the bottom I can come back and it will be back in centimeters! So, for me to make the changes to kprinter I need to know where to go and how do I make any changes permanent.
