First boot into linux with the CDrom. Go to /usr/src/linux (if that is where your kernel is) and run 'make bzlilo'. Then check in Yast-System Config-Lilo Config that your kernel boots on /boot/vmlinuz. Then run '/sbin/lilo'. Reboot and see if it works. Helo, I'm trying to run comanche to configure apache on SuSE 7.2 but can't manage to make it work : after configuring comanche with the different paths, i restart it and get the following error : Error trying to add Apache installation /usr/lib/comanche/comanche/../plugins/manager/../apmanager/configurations/1/apache.conf: Unknown choice: . Known choices: startup startup connect connect Does anyone manage to make it work ?

If you have DOS/Windows installed on your machine, you can use a program called "part" (ranish partition manager), which can verify, and diagnose partition problems. How to upgrade to PHP4.0.6 on Suse 7.2?

Hi! I am running Suse 7.2 on a headless and remote server. I wanted to upgrade PHP to 4.0.6 so I downloaded the following rpm:s from the update/7.2-catalog: mod_php4-core-4.0.6-53.i386.rpm mod_php4-4.0.6-53.i386.rpm But when trying to install (rpm -ivh) some error-messages says: "... conflicts with file from package mod_php4-core-4.0.4pl1-102" I even tried the --upgrade option for rpm but that didn't work either. Should I deinstall the old core-package first? I am asking you before I try cause I cannot afford that server to stop functioning... Anyone who succesfully upgraded their PHP on Suse 7.2? Thanks. HELP ! Corrupted file system

Dear all, A partition (e2fs) on my harddisk has corrupted and can no longer be mounted. When I e2fsck it, it reports : Illegal doubly indirect block found while reading bad block inode This doesn't bode, but I will try to go on ..... Pass 1 : checking inodes, blocks, and sizes Error while scanning inodes(0) : The inode is from a bad block in the inode table Anyone can suggest a hacking / repair tools to repair or examine the corrupted file system ? I have some important files on it that need to access to. At least I hope I can copy that out !!! Thanks in advance, Raymond Fung.
