It may be that runInstaller is not suid - you might have to be root to install it. [SLE] change dev order

I'm trying to install SuSE on a new computer that has 2 ide hard drives and 1 Promise Ultra66 drive. The thing that I am trying to accomplish is having the ultra66 drive be /dev/hda. Currently it is /dev/hde. With the ide cables, I can physicallyange the order the block devices are assigned. Hi, I am running 6.2 with 2.2.10 - what is the process kioslave and why would I have acquired about ten of them!! They seem to be owned by me (aot root) - all seem sto be working fine I'm curious. [SLE] Error in loading shared libraries: libxml.so.1

Hello Linux folks, I downloaded rpm for dia - simple drawing tool. When I tried to run it I got following error: dia: error in loading shared libraries: libxml.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Could somebody enlighten me what should I do in this case? Where shuld I get this damned libxml.so.1 ? Ben; That was the nicest install I have seen. The Linux for Sun by SuSE, blew the doors on Red Hat and Mandrake. Both were cumbersome and not USER friendly. Thanks for pointing out where the ISO's were. I am going to give a couple of copies to friends. Dear : Linux User I have configure my Linux Samba with a workgroup name 8th_floor . I have share my samba nama at public . When I try to connect to my Linux with win98 it prompt me out ... You must supply a password for a connection ...? Can someone guide me what suppose I configure at smb.conf to enble it.
