[SLE] Hard drive on new motherboard & Cyrix M2-333 is barfing...

Greetings! I have just built a new system using an AOpen MX69 Socket 7 micro-ATX motherboard (all-in-one type with VIA MVP4 chipset), a Cyrix M2-333 CPU and an InWin micro-ATX desktop case. I transferred my previous file server system (SuSE 6.3, Pentium-based compiled kernel, hard drives and all cards) to the new system. I previously had transferred this system to several different types of motherboards and CPUs without any ill effects. However, when fsck runs on /dev/hda3, it spews out error messages. The most common is virtual memory pointer being invalid or inaccessible. Do I need to do a new installation to get this to work? Thanks! [SLE] Multiple gateways cos internet - how???!!

Anyone out there who can help me? I tried to set up an internet connection in SuSE Linux 6.3 - done that many times before. Trying to get to any web site just tells me route not found. For half a night I could not work out what the problem was or what was different on that particular configuration. Eventually I found out that if a default gateway was assigned to the nic - the internet connection was not able to assign a gateway to the ip settings. Now I could use wvdial and change the scripts that it deletes the default gateway before dialling and restores it after exit. But I don't believe that this is the only way. and I want to use the kde dialler anyway. NT seems to have no probs with multiple gateways. The only documentation that I could find told me that in my case imp in deep s*** and I would need a considerable amount of tcp/ip knowledge to get around this problem. But i can not believe that it can be that difficult! Is there anybody out there who can advise me what to do, or point me in the right direction towards how-to's, readme's books or websites? There is no upgrade path for us here in Australia, NOT everyone has the bandwidth to download 6 ISO's (bandwidth is still costly here) and the cost of shipping the upgrade from the states or europe is far more then the price to buy the new pro version ..therefore Australian customers are forced to purchase the new product As the upgrade. Even then ..we still havent got the boxed product for 7 here yet ..the closest any SuSE Australian customers have got to version 7 is to look at the graphic on a website. SuSE should offer upgrades through their resellers and/or setup a local mirror here if they want to maintain or expand their Australian customer base. [SLE] IS this a feature?

I noticed this before when KDE had crashed and I had to shutdown from the console... And just now, while in KDE I did "shutdown -h now" while su'd. The funny thing is, when "Master Resource Control: Runlevel 0 has been reached" comes up, the CD is still playing, indefinitely. I'm not worried about this, just curious about it.
