[SLE] Leafnode security

Does anybody use leafnode as the news server. The machine's disk keeps filling up because there are large number of the binary newsgroups subscribed to (ie. porn). I want to block accesses to that port via use of username and password, but have read that there is no authentication mechanism and no plans for one either in leafnode. Is there something I can run to block port accesses except for a valid user. [SLE] Network Probs

Hello List, Just a note to publicly thank all who offered help / advice on this thread. I have come to the conclusion that what I have is not a network problem, but rather something to do with Netscape and possibly its Keyword program. I also just learned from another posting that some things have been moved around in this version (7.0 Pro). I will continue my quest, but do not want to take up anymore of anyone's time. This is a great list and I do not want to abuse it. I can see I have some more homework to do before I once again throw myself at the mercy of this list. [SLE] Can Netscape use local mailbox

I retrieve mail for all accounts on my system to local mailboxes with fetchmail. I use mutt as a mail client myself but have had my wife and kids using kmail, which I'm no longer happy with. I want to set them up to use Netscape Messenger as their mail client. I have had a look at the options which seem to include only POP3 and IMAP. Is it possible to have Messenger retrieve mail from local mailboxes without using POP3? Hello, I have 12 PC and I must to install Suse 6.4 on it. How I can I do to make a automatic install on all ? I suppose that I need a NFS server but after I don't know. which file I need to configure ? Is it to possible to work with yast ? Anybody knows how can I do ? [SLE] Mount & users

Dear all, On my new SuSE 7.0 system whenever a user tries to mount the cd or the floppy he gets a message saying only root can mount things though I have edited /etc/fstab to include the user option for both devices. What else do I have to do?
