[SLE] Decent Outlook Clone?

Hi, I was wondering if anybody knows of a good Outlook clone for X? The features, at minimum, include multiple e-mail account support, rules/filters, HTML Mail support, multiple signatures (easily selectable from toolbar), and an address book that keeps track of e-mail addresses and real world addresses. Another good thing is if each separate POP account can be given a different identity, so that if you reply to a message sent to joe@localhost, the reply-to address will be joe@localhost even if your default reply to address is bob@localhost. Other useful features, not necessary, but nice, are Palm (formerly PalmPilot) Synchronization, AutoArchive (moving old e-mail to archive boxes), built in calendar, todo list, sticky notes, spell checking, PGP support, etc. Any suggestions? [SLE] kernel error messages in syslog

bon jour i am horrified to see a little over 10000 lines of messages in the syslog.. it relates to something about kernel.. i give it now... -1070055563 size=512 count=1 Jun 20 19:32:37 cheedu kernel: Directory sread (sector 0xc0383f75) failed Jun 20 19:32:37 cheedu kernel: attempt to access beyond end of device Jun 20 19:32:37 cheedu kernel: 03:01: rw=0, want=1612455867, limit=4611568 Jun 20 19:32:37 cheedu kernel: dev 03:01 blksize=512 blocknr=-1070055563 sector=-1070055563 size=512 count=1 This thing was apparently activated when the cron started the updatedb ( more specifically, find process). It ceased as soon as i gave #killall -vg -KILL find The messages are recurring.. around 100 lines are produced per second.. [SLE] Updating Website

I have recently switched to an apache / SuSE setup for my webserver and I am looking for some ideas on how to update it remotely. I have my internal network protected with an LRP box so configuration on the router / firewall is very limited. I wish to do this as securely as possible. I do have the sshd setup on the router so I can SSH into that and then telnet to any internal boxes, one of which is the webserver (I didnt have room to install the ssh client on router). I will be updating it from either Windows or other Linux boxes. Anyone have any thoughts on the best way to address this? Thanks! [SLE] mysql problem

Ok, I know this must be easy, but where do I find libmysqlclient.so.6? I'm trying to get the client tools to work and can't because of the missing lib. [SLE] More on my ssh situation

I could finally use "putty" as a WindowsNT client. It's a old school command line terminal emulator, so SSH Secure Shell Client is _far_ preferable from an ease of use standpoint. It starts up in a kind of telnet session and then you can open a file transfer session. That all works pretty well compared to entering cryptic commands in putty. Tera Term with the TTSSH extensions seem like they would be alright, but I can't seem to get that combo to work very well. It sort of connects to the SuSE box but then nothing happens or is possible. ---- Um, on the other hand, now my network crashes if I move files from either my Windows or my Macintosh computers to or from my SuSE box using samba or netatalk. The samba/netatalk has been fantastic up to now, so clearly ssh is a suspect. Is there anything about ssh that would keep samba or atalk from running correctly? Basically, it will start to copy or get a file and then the network dies and everything freezes on the transferring computer. I also tried to do a regular ftp from my Macintosh to the SuSE box and that kills the network as well. On my WindowsNT box it's an unusally hard failure which practically locks up the computer. Same on the Mac side. I can however use my ipchains fine without crashing- ie I can surf from the Mac or Windows computers without any problems. It's file transfer that sets off this network death. My messages log seems to reveal nothing. Anything else I can check? ---- In my desperation to get ssh working earlier, I installed both ssh1 and ssh2. Do I need both? I'm starting to think not. Also, if I log in as a user and su to root, is that pretty safe? I'm starting to like the idea of remote administration. Hey, I'm only 20 years too late on that bandwagon! Thanks everyone. Hi all, On what basis are Symlinks under the rc2.d, rc3.d directory named ? Eg why should a link be name S91mysql or K20firewall , S20firewall .. Whats the logic behind the naming convention ? [SLE] SuSE-E List???

What on earth is happening with the SuSE-E list? I could understand if NO messages at all were getting through: it wouldn't be the first time the server has gone down for several days. Nor can I believe that almost everyone has stopped mailing to the list. But what happens is that once every 2-3 days I receive 2-3 messages. So a very few messages are getting through, all the others not. Eh??
