[SLE] USB Mouse -- Almost There! A little help needed

Hello, I think I am real close to getting a USB mouse to work, but would appreciate a little help. I do have the latest usb package (0.5-16) from SuSE's web site. The mouse is a Microsoft IntelliEye. It works great when the PS/2 adapter is used to plug it into the PS/2 port. It also worked when plugged into a USB port on a Windows 2000 system. In other words, I know the mouse is good. Here is the error I get (in /var/log/messages). Master Capable. Latency=32. I/O at 0x9000 [0x9001]. I have compiled the kernel with USB support as modules. Notice that the USB irq is shared with my SCSI. I hope this isn't the problem, but I am a little suspicious since I can't seem to get the interrupt count to go up much by using the mouse. [SLE] xterm and the title of it...

i am having problems with getting an xterm to adopt the name I give it using the "-T" and "-n" properties on the command line. it seems to always use the title of: <username> on <hostname>: <current_directory> and the icon gets the title of <hostname> (with those values correctly assigned). doing an "xterm -T hello" or "xterm -n icon" does nothing to change the actual title or icon name generated. Does anyone know what could be happening or what file i can be looking in to see where these are set? I use ctwm, and my .ctwmrc file is correct, and the system .ctwmrc file doesn't have any reference to title names, nor does my .Xdefaults file. This same .ctwmrc file works fine (title/iconname) on NetBSD. I don't have access to Redhat so I can't tell if it's a LinuxSpecific thing or not. (YaST will even warn you if you try to uninstall it.) Maybe you simply didn't find traceroute because it is located in /usr/sbin and this is not in the PATH for non-root users by default. To use nslookup you need to install the package bind or bindutil from series n. [SLE] Teac CD-55A CD-ROM

Am trying to install 6.3 to a machine with a Teac CD-55A CD-ROM. (The CD is connected to Teac's 16-bit controller card (ISA)). Can load the CD driver in DOS, run 6.3's setup.exe off of disk 1, but linuxrc does not find the CD. Using the modules diskette doesn't help. Linuxrc still does not find the CD-ROM under either "autoload" or when I manually select "sbpcd." The I/O address for the CD-ROM is 02C0h-02C7h. I've been using the 02C0h as the first parameter for the "sbpcd" command. I've been guessing at the second parameter (1, 2, 3, 4). I've also tried the "sbpcd" command with no parameters. Suse's hardward database suggests some have had success with the sbpcd module. Any suggestions? Hi, I think (not sure) what you suggest would work, but I thought gcc 2.7.2.3 was required only for 2.0.x kernels and egcs was fine for the newer series. Oh, yast complained about installing both compilers on my system so you should check to be sure that it is installed. [SLE] Modem installation & configuration.

Hello, I am looking for configuration of a Modem on my PC. It work well under Window 98, but I can't use it under Linux SuSe 6.2. I would like to do two things: - 1 Verify that I have installed the correct packages for the drivers at the correct location. - 2 Vérify that I have mounted the right device related to this package. Does somebody knows where I can find these information? I would appreciate some help.
