Hello:I need an mbox file viewer GUI program for openSUSE. A program I can use for opening mbox email files in a local directory. Thunderbird, Evolution, Clawsmail all can open/import mbox files, but they require setting up an email account which I don't want. I only want to open local mbox files and possibly manipulate them (view, save, copy to other folder). Pine/alpine can do this nicely, but it is a terminal program. I need something similar that is GUI and can show attached images. Is there something like that for linux?Thanks in advance,Istvanps: I apologize if the message is garbled, it's the mail system I use.

Suggested repo to install the libdvdcss library in Tumbleweed?

Hi, I'm trying to play DVDs with vlc. My understanding is that the libdvdcss library needs to be installed for this to work. Could someone suggest the best repo to add for the purpose of installing libdvdcss? And also the `zypper` command to do so? I want to make sure adding an additional repo doesn't end up creating issues in conjunction with other repos. Is there a parser already written to output zypper.log entries in a nice format?

All, I'm chasing problems in Thunderbird and wanted to parse zypper.log (yes I could use the rpmdb), and wanted to know if there was a parse already written or whether is just one for awk (and xzcat for the compressed files)? awk and xzcat work fine, but if there is already a tool, I'd rather not reinvent another wheel. All, I got a kick out of this, and some of you may too. To try and troubleshoot the problem I'm having with RSS newsfeeds hanging in Thunderbird 128.3.3esr, I launched akregator to try the feeds there and see if there was any difference in behavior. Launching akregator, the default feeds were from the time Novell owned openSUSE: https://paste.opensuse.org/pastes/4cf4bf12d2f1 I should have got a shot before I deleted all the other Novell feeds and Planet SUSE feeds. It was a blast from the past. Akregator has no problem hanging, and handles the feeds just fine. Wireshark shows nothing odd when checking in Thunderbird, but the last transmission from the hanging feed is an ACK - why that causes a hang is still beyond me. Tumbleweed, Clamd is spamming my journal with thousand of line of "path check failures" making it de facto unreadable

Hi, I need some input to understand what is wrong. I have some problems with my system (sddm during login on the main monitor, while all other monitors log in just fine) so I wanted to search my journal for some feedback. firewalld & wsdd

Hi, I have a system that was upgraded to OpenSuSE 15.6 x64 and now firewalld is whimpering about a service called wsdd. Whenever I try to make a change with firewall-command, such as adding or removing a service to be allowed/disallowed by the firewall, and then trying to update my permanent setting from my runtime settings, I get bitched at by firewall-config and get told to run the following command - > #firewall-offline-cmd --check-config > Configuration error: INVALID_SERVICE: Zone 'internal': 'wsdd' not > among existing services Any ideas why firewalld is belly-aching about "wsdd"? My Duck Duck Go searches tells me that wsdd is used to make shared files and directories visible to MS machines, which is a feature I want. Further research shows that there is no package in the repositories for wsdd for OpenSuSE 15.6, is this being dropped? If so, how do I fix this mess and retain the ability to share files with Windoz systems? As always, many thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out and guiding me back into the OpenSuSE light! Marc.. --

Tumbleweed - After 10/26 update, Thunderbird 128.3.3esr hangs on checking feeds, 146% CPU?

All, After Tumbleweed update last night, Thunderbird has begun sticking when checking news feeds. (specifically the Archlinux new packages newsfeed) Thunderbird gets the information just fine, but the checking busy-icon in the folders-list keeps showing activity. This creates 146% CPU load continually (about 1/3 of a 4-core CPU) Has anyone else seen Tbird stick like it continually checking a newsfeed? If so, has anyone found a work-around? The only thing I can do is right-click and "pause" checking of the newsfeed and then Restart Thunderbird so it starts without checking the feed. There seems to be no way to "unstick" the newsfeed once it has been checked, it's just stuck on. This is Thunderbird 128.3.3esr from the main repository. -- David C. Rankin, J.D.,P.E.
