I'm running opensuse leap 15.1 with linux kernel 5.4.11 as a Xen 4.13 Dom0/server. [opensuse] urgent desaster recover - need to revive a system or reinstall, still have access to etc and config files

Hi fellow lists participants, I have a hardware breakdown of an old HDD, and I need to revive a system/functionality really quick. I am a noob unfortunately when it comes to backuping/restore suse in simple ways especially with keeping config, users etc. I can still read kind of okay the old /etc/ and basically the root partition. I have already a new SSD at hand so I could quickly setup a clean leap 15.1 but how to make use of old config files instead of configuring all over again. especially keeping network interfaces information, some dhcp server config, some usernames. Cloning/rescuing the whole old HDD currently is estimated via clonezilla for another 3hours or more, so thats why I am wondering if i could just make use of the /etc/ folder and maybe others you guys hint that I would need. [opensuse] Printer under Leap 15.1

I run Leap 15.1 and need a new printer. It should be a simple black and white laser printer, used be one person only and also having the functionalities of a photocopier and a flat bed scanner. What about connecting it via Bluetooth, or is it better to use a cable? Any recommendations? [opensuse] A Problem of Permission, Groups and Backintime

Good day to everyone. I have a comprehension problem of permissions, groups and "back in time". Following situation: user A permissions 700 user B permissions 700 both users belong to group "users" now: A (and only A!) should be able to backup the data of A and B. This to avoid confusion of the user and make sure he/she it does not log out the user before the process of backup has finished. The account A is also an account were no "surfing" or "games" and so on are taking place, thus it is somewhat more valuable than B. Backintime should be configured to run residential. It should recognize when the external disk for backup is attached by the user and should do then a backup (if criteria are met in terms of time and changes). B should not be able to do this. Thus when (while user in B) a hdd is attached, the resident process should not start the backup. (This is the desired setup). Both user should stay however in the situation of 700 to each other (as I cannot exclude that in future there will be a third account that shall not have access rights to neither A nor B. One though I have was that I could define a group e.g. backintime so to be able to use backintime you would be necessarily a member of it. But that does not resolve me the problem of different access rights for A and B for what is the functionality of backintime. I do not think that I could make that new user without being part of "users" because I suppose a lot of scripts are taking for granted that you are part of users. Am I mistaken here? And how would I have to define access rights? If I give backintime root access, this would be unnecessarily wide as it should not run as root, it only hat to do a backup of the two home directories. So in short: how to define two users A and B in order to give A access to the files to B in order to backup them, not give that rights to B, not to work as root. And maintain (if possible - at least for B) the mutual no access thing). So if necessary A can be able to read B. B shall not be able to read A. Any new user created should have access neither to A nor B. This may be OT, but I don't know where to direct it otherwise: I had, up until a few days ago, an icon that led me to Langenscheidts dictionary that allowed a word in either language to be translated into the other. It now seems to be gone. (In this case, German.) Is this an internet problem, or is Langengsheidts gone from the net--or perhaps out of business? I'd like to know. [opensuse] KDE Network Manager - WiFi Hotspot?

Has anyone successfully configured a hotspot in 15.1? If I set it up without a password, I can connect. If I use WPA2 and password, I get authentication error. I used cut 'n paste to enter the password and verified it's correct, but still can't connect. Dear opensuse list, I'm running opensuse 15.1 with apache 2.4.33. recently switched from apache2-mod_php7 to php-fpm what is the preferred way of running php-fpm in opensuse? via tcp-ip? SetHandler "proxy:fcgi://127.0.0.1:9000" or via unix socket?
