[opensuse] firefox has suddenly disabled extensions

Help! I'm running Leap 15.0 and Firefox 60.5.1esr (64-bit) from the standard repositories. I just returned to my PC and discovered one of my open Firefox tabs showing a banner at the top saying something about 'Some add-ons have been disabled'. When I clicked on 'Show legacy extensions' it listed what seem to be all my extensions, including Feedbro, NoScript, uBlockOrigin and others. Now I know FF has been changing the world for add-ons, but (1) I wouldn't expect to have been doing things normally, then gone to have my dinner and returned to find an error message popped up meantime (2) I'm not aware of any recent updates to FF (specifically, I haven't updated anything for a while - I run manual updates, not automatic) (3) I thought I'd already been through an exercise of updating or replacing my add-ons to meet new requirements (4) If this is something genuine, I would expect some notice to explain why this has happened at this particular time. Does anybody know what has occurred or can suggest the best means to investigate further? There are several Youtube videos that I have watched in the past, but for some reason no longer play. Did something change? The is the error message I get: "Your browser does not currently recognise any of the video formats avaialble. [opensuse] Jelly Comb touchpad not working

Hi - I recently purchased a cute combo USB/Bluetooth keyboard/touchpad from Jelly Comb and when I plugged it in to my OpenSuSE Leap 15.0 system x64 with a KDE desktop, I only got partial joy from it. The keyboard works fine but the touchpad is unhappy and not responding to my caresses. The KDE desktop system settings utility for touchpads simply thumbs it's nose at it and says "No touchpad found" I tried installing the xf86-input-synaptics package but that didn't do squat. I did a bit of Googling around to see if I could learn what to do to make it happy but not coming up with much. All, The last webkit (or other) updates pushed last night completely disables all existing extensions in Firefox 60.6.1esr. U-Block Origins is now disabled NoScript is now disabled Copy to Plain Text is now disabled What gives? What exact rpm was the culprit. Don't you think if you are going to push an update that will break all extensions in Firefox -- there should be reasonable notice? When and how is this going to be fixed? -- David C. [opensuse] Unwanted DNS Queries

Hi all: I have a question about some DNS querys/responses that continue after the application that originally requested them is closed. I am running Tumbleweed (20190426 snapshot)on x86_64, Firefox version 66.0.3. The Setup: run Firefox and browse multiple sites. Close Firefox. Open Wireshark. Note multiple DNS querys/responses are still being made from/to some process (Firefox does not appear in a ps query) related to the sites just visited. In a recent test, I surfed to seven different websites in three minutes, closed Firefox, opened Wireshark, and noticed 32 DNS queries and 32 responses, all related to sites I just visited (and their "partners"). Letting Wireshark run, this same sequence was repeated every few seconds for 10 minutes, when I closed Wireshark. I have no idea how long this process will continue. I have also tried this same test on Fedora and OpenBSD, with the same version of Firefox, with the same configuration, and the issue does not present. I don't happen to prefer this behaviour, so I have two questions: 1. Why is this happening on OpenSuSE? 2. How do I disable it? [opensuse] password managers

Just wondering if anyone has thoughts and experience in using password managers that are cross-platform and cross-device? I have 3 computers and an android phone, and mostly use google Chrome for a browser. The Chrome password manager has somehow completely messed up my entire password database so that nothing matches now. So I was thinking of looking at some other application to use. I read a little about LastPass, Universal Password Manager, Password Gorilla, KeePass, and KeePassX. All look ok, but I would be interested to know what other folks' experiences have been.
