[opensuse] Getting Started With Linux Magazine

Hi all, Members of the openSUSE community have been working with Linux-Magzine.com to publish a special edition of a Getting Started With Linux magazine (cover attached). I am thrilled to inform you that this 100-page magazine featuring openSUSE Leap 42.3 will be available on newsstands throughout the globe over the coming months. The distribution of the magazines are expected to bring more openSUSE users to our community. You might see more asking questions about using openSUSE in the coming months even though the magazine does a great job of explaining the basics. The project has received 3,000 of these magazines to be used for various purposes like distributing at conferences. In addition to distributing some at conferences, we would like to also send a package to people who could distribute them to their local university, college, computer science class or Linux user group. There are 30 magazines in a pack and I can send you a package if you are willing to distribute it to one of the above mentioned target groups. If you are willing to do this, please reply with your full name, mailing address and phone number so I send you a package. I would like to thank the people in our community who helped to make the Getting Started With Linux magazine possible, and thank you to the community members who are helping to bring openSUSE to users throughout the world. I need to do that with Amazon, too: they have the nasty habit of emailing me about things I simply googled for. But the problem is knowing later which window belongs to what profile. Hi all, Hack Week 0x10 will be Nov. 10 – 16 at many of the SUSE Research and Development locations and developers and hackers from the community are welcomed to participate. The planning of the projects for Hack Week 0x10 can be created onhttp://hackweek.suse.com <http://hackweek.suse.com>. Hackers who want to participate can also join existing projects. One example of a project that has already be created putting openSUSE on Chromebooks <https://hackweek.suse.com/16/projects/opensuse-on-chromebooks>. Visitors must be logged in to the website to create and join projects. [opensuse] Connect to psSense - OpenVPN

I'm running openSUSE 42.3 and trying to to OpenVPN on my pfSense firewall. Has anyone been able to do this? I can find bits of info, for other distros, but am unable to make them work. Hello, Yesterday I could use my bluetooth mouse. Hi, I need to be able to run a command as another user. I have worked out that I can run the following from one user to execute a command as the other (bob). su - bob -c command prompt for password enter password command runs as bob but, how can I run this on one line for use in a script? [opensuse] Sufficiently patched OpenSUSE?

Hi guys I need a little help here: Based on a scanning from the national CERT my security officer claims that I am running outdated software. Examples (scanning performed some weeks ago) Version source : X-Powered-By: PHP/5.5.14 Installed version : 5.5.14 Fixed version : 5.5.38 Source : Server: Apache/2.4.23 Installed version : 2.4.23 Fixed version : 2.4.27 As of today the installed rpm's are: me@server:~> rpm -qa | egrep "apache2-2|php5-5" apache2-mod_php5-5.5.14-77.12.1.x86_64 php5-5.5.14-77.12.1.x86_64 apache2-2.4.23-8.12.1.x86_64 I can verify that the rpms on my system is grabbed from updates and build on 21. September 2017.
