[opensuse] audacious - disabling window grabbing on menu bar click

Hello: This occours in openSUSE 13.2 with KDE3. I use audacious mucic player with gtk interface. When I click to the menu bar the mouse pointer becomes an arrow-cross and the mouse grabs the audacious window. How could I disable this? Other windows are only grabbed if I click the title bar and keep the mouse button ppressed. All, When it rains it pours. I have an interesting issue with an old laptop (still running 13.1), that in the past has runs for weeks/months on end, now suddenly beginning to freeze ever day or two. The larger issue is I can't put my finger on the reason why... Most times the log just stops, then the next boot picks up. Searching around, I found a kernel bug that seems semi-related: https://lkml.org/lkml/2016/8/5/371 However, this does not explain, "Why in the hell did it used to run for weeks/months (until I rebooted), to now freezing?" Usual suspects would be memory (test fine) and hard disk (swap corruption?). But I have no indication of any disk issues. So I guess my plea for help is basically a "What else to check?" question. How do you troubleshoot a problem that doesn't appear in the logs. (it's a laptop, so I can't just pull the case cover and check for puffy caps -- which may be a consideration). Ideas? I am no expert in kernel Call Traces. I can read them, I understand what the stack pointer address are saying, I'm just not 100% sure what it is telling me. Well CUPS has its own ACL I did try installing CUPS for Android on my devices but either I couldn't get it configured or it was broken, so tablet -> cups server -> printer is a a No-Go. However the tablet and the phone, when on the same network (as opposed off on yet another NAT) can print to an IP address. For some reason a return address that being behind a another NAT won't permit kills that. I have a vague idea why, perhaps James can say it more definitively. But I don't want outsiders, even if they somehow get past the firewall or penetrate my wifi password, from accessing devices like the router or the printer. So they have IP based ACL. So 'known' devices have static IPs to make like more manageable. [opensuse] PHP Login

Hi, Currently we have a php site with an SQL table of users. Users can login and reset their own password, admins can reset other users passwords. However we would like to link to the built in system users on the local machine. So basically I would like a login form in PHP that uses the system users instead of an sql table. also how can an authenticated user change their own password via the web page? [opensuse] No network of leap 42.3

I recently installed 42.3 on a second computer. This computer has 2 disks. One disk for Leap 42.3 and the other for Windows 10. The install went very smooth (as usual) and I use grub to boot into my disks. I was able to update 42.3 and noticed no issues. Today I went to use the machine and discovered I have no internet. Ifconfig shows I have no address assigned via dhcp. To eliminate a hardware issue I booted into Windows. Windows had internet connectivity. The motherboard is an ASRock H97 Pro4 which uses the Intel gigabyte ethernet chip, the same one used by the machine I am typing from now (leap 42.2). I then switched to a static ip to see if it is a dhcp issue. I used YAST to configure the static ip. Using wicked I was able to start and stop the network successfully. Ifconfig showed my static ip address assigned to eth0. Still no internet. lsmod shows e1000e is loaded. My system consists of a NETGEAR ProSafe™ Gigabit 8 Port VPN Firewall FVS318G router attached to a cable modem. All devices are plugged into the router which assigns ip addresses via dhcp during boot. I have the two computers, a ps3, and a cisco wifi plugged into the router. All are visible to the router and have internet access. On the machine in question when I boot into windows the router shows the computer and assigned ip address(dhcp). When I boot into 42.3 nothing shows up on the router, dhcp or static ip. Any ideas what could be going on? Is there a known problem with the e1000e module? Any ideas will be appreciated. Hi all, Members of the openSUSE community have been working with Linux-Magzine.com to publish a special edition of a Getting Started With Linux magazine (cover attached). I am thrilled to inform you that this 100-page magazine featuring openSUSE Leap 42.3 will be available on newsstands throughout the globe over the coming months. The distribution of the magazines are expected to bring more openSUSE users to our community. You might see more asking questions about using openSUSE in the coming months even though the magazine does a great job of explaining the basics. The project has received 3,000 of these magazines to be used for various purposes like distributing at conferences. I need to do that with Amazon, too: they have the nasty habit of emailing me about things I simply googled for. But the problem is knowing later which window belongs to what profile.
