[opensuse] Problem with tmux: it says there are no sessions, which is false.

On that machine, on another terminal, I run "tmux attach", and it attaches correctly to the first terminal. Green status line at the bottom. All as I expected. You might shrink a partition using the gparted live. Then, you copy the files from oldboot to newboot, and tell yast, boot module, to boot from that partition. All, I have a MP4 that plays fine in Kaffiene (openSUSE 13.2 + Packman). I'd like to be able to pull a snippet out of the middle. Basically just crop of the start and end. Is there something in openSUSE and/or Packman to do that? [opensuse] jot (based on MIT athena-jot), alpha/numeric sequence generator

All, I ran across a package called 'jot' which is a traditional unix tool like 'seq' but much more robust. It will generate alpha, numeric (or both) sequences that can also take shell expansions as part of the base name to be expanded. It has the capability to generate random sequences as well. thank you for reply i tried with unlocking "Places" panel and can add folders there, but they disappear again after i close dolphin, so need to find out where dolphin configuration is being saved... I have a problem with Krusader, though. It lists files and their extensions in separate columns. This is confusing to me, so I'd like to list the complete name (except the path) in a single column. [opensuse] zypper dup -n?

In our environment we install thousands of python, perl and ruby modules/gems packaged by the distro. I'm experimenting with a zypper dup on our systems and I see many of these packages break. Is is possible to extract a list of all packages that require attention without performing the upgrade? If so I can remove them, and then perform a zypper dup. Alternatively I have in our configuration management a list of all the modules/gems and I could remove them all, and then dup, and figure out what we need afterwards.
