[opensuse] Curl errors in opensuse 12 and 13

Hi Does anyone know why i always get "curl" errors using "zypper" or Yast to refresh/ update the repos? Its random as to which repos fails. see example below I don't ever recall this happening prior to opensuse 12. Hi, we've disabled ipv6 on all servers, we hadn't IPv6 IP from providers. In this case the server is a firewall between LAN, DMZ and WAN. I enabled IPv6 on anothers server too, but only on this " important" server I've problem to enable IPv6. Why ? I've 6to4 tunneling at home on opensuse 12.2, at work is native IPv6 on another opensuse 12.2 with dns service, no problem at all... [opensuse] Google Voice no longer working in Chromium

I have used Google Voice in the Chromium browser in the past. However, it has now stopped working. When I try to make a call, the dialer says to download the voice plugin. I have done that, but it still doesn't work. (!???!) Didn't seem to be w/recent updates... If I force install these will that switch my platform to noarch? (keeping str8 face here)... WTB?! (Bleep) Do I have to have some special 'noarch' addon to install these packages? What might have gotten cleared in rpm that might indicate noarch doesn't apply anymore? Or did my 'noarch' processor go bad? Anyone got a spare 'noarch' processor I could use (maybe a socket for it would help too... maybe it goes in a USB slot? )... *sigh*.... Some little "bit" must have changed somewhere... So how do tell rpm that my 'noarch' is still working and I don't need a new 'noarch'?? [opensuse] DNS not working 13.1

My firewall computer, running openSUSE 13.1 no longer uses external DNS look up, but does use the hosts file. Wireshark shows it's not even attempting to access the DNS servers. I have tried recreating resolv.conf, but the problem remains. Any idea why it wouldn't access DNS servers? [opensuse] recording flash audio output with pulseaudio

Hello: I want to record flash audio output on my hard disk as wave file. Up to now I have done by running the command pacat --record -d alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo.monitor | sox -t raw -r 44100 -s -L -b 16 -c 2 - "output.wav This records not only the flash output but every sound sent to the speakers including desktop effect sounds etc. It is also sensible to the volume, that is the recorded sound's volume depends on the volume sent to the speakers. Because of this I can't change the speaker output volume when recording. Fortunately I found a solution: https://en.opensuse.org/User:Gnyers/RecordFlashAudioOutput This gives instructions how to record the flash audio only: 1. Create a virtual stream For a clean recording without any "contamination" from other audio sources create a dedicated virtual stream $ pactl load-module module-null-sink sink_name=FlashPlugin 2. Find out the Sink index of the Flash audio output. Look for the 'plugin-container' binary $ pacmd list-sink-inputs | egrep 'index:|sink:|application.process.binary' index: 0 sink: 0 <alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo> application.process.binary = "plugin-container" index: 503 sink: 0 <alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1b.0.analog-stereo> application.process.binary = "mplayer" In this case: INDEX=0 3. Move the audio output of the Flash plug-in to "FlashPlugin", the dedicated stream. pactl move-sink-input $INDEX FlashPlugin 4. Record the "FlashPlugin" sink uncompressed wav: parec -d FlashPlugin.monitor --file-format flash-audio-output-capture.wav This works well, but when I apply the 3rd command (pactl move-sink-input) the sound is redirected and can't be heard on the speakers, I can not monitor what I record. How could I record and monitor the recorded sound simoultaneously? Another question: how can I move the audio output back to the speakers? The instruction doesn't say it. [opensuse] SuSE 13.1: Evince: Top menus broken

I have an obvious error in the menu of Evince: http://img5.fotos-hochladen.net/uploads/evincebugqx3fjckpil.jpg Any pointers what that could be? Any changed icon directories in OpenSuSE 13.1 ? Mouse over of course works. On SuSE 12.1 evince was working without problems.
