[opensuse] Thunderbird stopped downloading from IMAP server

Since sometime this morning, Thunderbird has stopped loading new messages from my ISP's IMAP server. This is happening on both my laptop and my desktop, both of which are running Tbird 17.0.8 on openSUSE 12.3, with KDE 4.10.5 When I right click the account name and click on Subscribe, the folder list is empty. The Inbox on my desktop incarnation is completely empty, other folders show mails up until yesterday, but nothing for today. Thunderbird running in Windows 7, which I'm using to post this message, is working as expected, which means the problem is with my linux Thunderbird installations. I've tried reverting to earlier versions in case an upgrade this morning introduced a bug, but without success. I don't remember changing anything, just noticing the odd behaviour. Claws mail in linux also downloads the latest mail OK. Is their a configuration file I could safely delete, forcing TB to regenerate it when it starts up? I've tried deleting the global-messages-db.sqlite file, which got rebuilt, but it didn't solve the problem. [opensuse] Can't exclude/prevent udev/xorg auto-recognition of an IR/Remote as a KEYBOARD device; bug or a config issue?

I'm running Opensuse 12.3/64. I'm installing a StreamzapIR LIRC remote for exclusive use with XBMC; I want it otherwise ignored by the system/KDE/etc. Part of the process is, 1st, getting the remote prpoerly IGNORED as a "KEYBOARD" device. Atm, I'm unsuccessfuly at excluding the StreamzapIR from being recognized as a KYBD dev either by: xorg udev My question is: How/where do I properly exclude the Streamzap <--> Keyboard mapping? (Without a "real" TV card (with channel selection)) Or is this the best setup ? [opensuse] ssh -X -C and virtualbox

Hello, I use ssh -X -C to use gui enabled applications (say xeyes to test). This works perfectly on my hosted server (remote). But on the same server I have a virtual server I connect to through port 32022 (ssh -X -C -p 32022) and there if I try xeyes, I get "display not found" any hints? [opensuse] natting a virtual machine

Hello, It may be because I'm tired... I try to configure a virtual server with VirtualBox. I have the host and guest with each openSUSE 12.3 all is nice. I run the virtual server with host only network, like I use to do on other machines. I use SuSEfirewall2 to nat the network virtual (name is "nemo") is on internal network and not blocked (firewall is not protectd from internal network vmnet0). [opensuse] KDE 4.11/12.3 Problem with KDE Services

Hi ! I have updated KDE 4.10 to 4.11 / OpenSuSE 12.3 on Lenovo ThinkPad, and got these problems: 1) KDE Power management doesn't work anymore (powerdevil can't be started). 2) Keyboard daemon can't start. Before update to 4.11 everything worked fine. systemctl status upower.service returns OK. I have updated 4.11 again with latest patches 10 minutes ago. KDE Services 4.11 were updated, but nothing have been fixed, problem with these services persist. Anyone have any clue what went wrong? Thanks in advance. [opensuse] systemd & reiser.fsck SLOW on 12.3/32bit

I have a laptop running 12.3/32bit. I've used resier since S.u.S.E. adopted it & all my drives use it so I have just stuck with it. I've always been impressed with how fast reiser recovers from a power off failure(like when I let my battery die when the laptop is asleep.....) However, I've noticed that now with the newer versions & systemd that it seems to take MUCH longer for the fsck to complete. My P3/1.2Ghz laptop(running openSUSE 11.1) with a 320GB PATA drive finishes checking way before my Core2/2.33Ghz based laptop with a 1TB SATA drive taht's running 12.3. I get about 60MB/s on the PATA drive & 100+ on the SATA drive. Now, I removed the plymouth splash because I don't care for them & was wondering if the fsck was running faster, but that it was taking longer to display the results to the screen maybe? I have 12.2/64bit installed on this Core2 as well but I think plymouth is still there but it's just as bad.
