[opensuse] Fed up with Kmail2

Hi, I am finally fed up with Kmail2. This piece of software is as buggy as it gets and regularly messes up or looses mails. Even for the longterm pain-used Linux user it's too much. - Mails don't show up in the inbox although they are on the IMAP server for hours - Sent mails are sometimes saved in the configured IMAP folder, sometimes in local folders and sometimes Kmail shows them in the IMAP folder but strangely no other program can find them there - Kmail forces to send GPG signed messages as PGP/Mime, what lots of clients which are used in enterprise and governemt environments can't handle and show empty messages - The latest fun - if I deselect "sign message", Kmail2 still tries to sign the attachments with PGP/Mime, which breaks the attachments. Even Kmail2 can't open them from the sent folder any more @Opensuse Team: I have started using Linux in 1996, my first SuSE was 5.2. So I'm really used to rough roads but what you did with 12.1 is the worst quality I have ever seen from SuSE in over 10 years! [opensuse] Bo Installation

I have phenom X6 (1055 16 Gbytes with ASUS am3+ motherboard, M5A99x) with XFX 6950 AMD HD card. I have tried both the installation and livecd to do an installation. In both cases, during the installation (before the agreement appears), the install hangs with a black screen. I tried it with a USB stick and still no luck. [opensuse] U.S. International keyboard and "R" key.

When using the U.S. International keyboard, when the "Alt Gr" key (right Alt key) is pressed along with the "R", the registered symbol, an "R" in a circle is supposed to be produced. In openSUSE, I get ë & Ë instead. Is there any way to change this to the correct character? Also, is it possible to add other characters to the layout? Test page printed, but just in b & w. localhost:631 takes me to Cups page 1.5.0 entered username and password. Then clicked Administration, Printers, Add printer, clicked that. Add printer page Has box for connection with options. I chose socket://hostname:9100 (hostname is 192.168.1.103) hit continue. Next page: Name box: Xerox. Description: Xerox Phaseer 6140N PS v 1.1, Location box: left blank. Sharing, checked that, then coninue. Next page: Box with Makes of printers scroll to Xerox click it. Get box w/models: the 6140N not there so chose the 6130N Foomatic/Postscript. (This worked in Ubuntu and Windows 7.) Next page: Set default options: click the box Menu page: Xerox at top. 2 boxes under that ,drop down arrows in both. One box: Maintenance, other is Administration. Chose maintenance, top item in drop down box is print test page. It DID print the Cups test page but no color. Now, is the printer set up or do I have to go to the system settings, printers, add printer etc so the printer will work in the system such as email and documents from Libre office and with color. Has the server the openSUSE Forums are on gone south? I am getting the following error when I try and log on Status: 500 Internal Server Error Description: Access Gateway couldn't find the needed policy from service provider. Service Provider is not healthy. It might be just coming up. If refreshing the browser after a few seconds doesn't clear this error condition, please contact your Administrator." If this condition persists, please contact the helpdesk. [opensuse] Kmail errors

I am getting errors when running filters and downloading my mail. The filter error is that it cannot report message size. The other error is cannot parse command. I noticed it was intermittant last night as were the Novell forums (which are hosted on servers in the same subnet) - looked like an access manager issue, so I guess they were perhaps doing some work on that system last night (but I don't know for sure). Seems better today from here.
