[opensuse] Palm Centro Sync

Is anybody using the Palm Centro with opensuse 11.0 or 11.1? Does it sync successfully?? I am looking at getting one of these, need a new phone, but want to use the other capabilities also. [opensuse] Getting package conflicts when upgrading to KDE4.2

I'm using openSUSE 11.1 with KDE4.1.3 and i'd like to update to KDE4.2. So i clicked on the link http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Factory:/Desktop/openS… expecting yast to do the rest for me. Instead i get a bunch of package conflicts like: - kde4-knewsticker-4.1.3-4.11.x86_64 requires kdepimlibs4 < 4.1.60, but this requirement cannot be provided - compiz-kde4-0.7.8-9.1.x86_64 requires libplasma.so.2()(64bit), but this requirement cannot be provided - kdelibs4-4.1.3-4.9.x86_64 requires libkde4 = 4.1.3, but this requirement cannot be provided Do i have to had another repo or something for this to go smoothly ? Running 11.1 w/ kde4 4.2. Has anyone been able to get kweather going in kde4? It is installed, worked great in kde3, but does not show up as an available widget. The way I do it when I need to add a repo from a mirror is just to go to the mirror in your web browser and get to the place where you see the i586, repodata and , x86_64 directories, then either right-click and 'copy link location' or just cut and paste the address from the browser into the command line like: zypper ar http://cut&pasted_link In the links you gave above, if you go there in your browser you get: [home_dgege_fprint] name=fprint project (openSUSE_10.3) type=rpm-md baseurl=http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/dgege:/fprint/openS… gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/dgege:/fprint/openSU… enabled=1 That's the repo data not the address you need. [opensuse] Disabling Firefox 3.0 embedded mp3 player

I have opensuse 11.0 clean install, with Firefox 3.0.5. I want to use amarok for all mp3 files. For the most part, it works. I configured the mp3 files to be played through amarok through edit->preferences->applications But certain pages have code that brings up something else. The way it looks in html is a href="http://echo.msk.ru/snd/2009-01-30-personalno-1908.mp3" onclick="return false;" When I click on such links, instead of using Amarok, it shows a small player with tiny controls embedded into the page. I cannot figure why it does it, and how to change this behavior. I have no extensions installed except for a gmail notifier and nosquint (which does text zoom). My only plugins are java, flash and adobe reader. Is there some other configuration setting that I am missing? [opensuse] Unlock keyring for Remote Desktop

Hi, Whenever I want to use Remote Desktop for the first time after a system bootup, there is a pop up asking for the password to unlock the keyring to verify the vnc password. Hence, everytime I need to physically go to the machine and give it the password before I can view the desktop remotely. How do I disable this popup and allow direct remote access?
