ref opensuse 11.1 kde 4.2 Problem: ALt-F2 randomly stops working. I did a fresh install of opensuse 11.1 in all the machines this weekend. Everything seems to be working great, compiz, mythtv, kde4 etc. The only problem I have noticed is that I am working then I need top open another terminal and alt-f2 does nothing when minutes before it was working fine. No other problems. Then I reboot and everything is back to normal. Have any of you observed similar behavior? [opensuse] Upgrade from 10.1 to 11.1

Has anyone done this specific upgrade of openSUSE? If so, any pitfalls? [opensuse] New ATI driver, KDE 4 desktop effects

Okay, so I downloaded and installed AMD's new ATI driver, 9.1 for Linux (x86_64). My ATI Radeon X600 still doesn't provide me with desktop effects on KDE 4.1. I'm curious if any of you have tried this new driver and if it has worked for you. When I try to enable the settings, KDE immediately tells me it cannot apply them. I sent a couple of replies to - I thought - the mailing list, but not seeing them show up, I went to look in my sent folder and it appears that when I hit the "r" key on my keyboard, it sent them to individuals rather than the list.
