[opensuse] MythTV resolution issues on openSUSE10.3

Today I decided to upgrade my 10.2 install to 10.3. Everything has gone very well so far with the exception of my MythTV. I cannot get MythTV to start in the right resolution. The hardware config is Screen0 = Acer AL2016W, a 20 inch widescreen TFT monitor Screen1 = Toshiba 32L56P widescreen LCD TV with VGA in and a max supported VGA resolution of 1024x768 Video card is an nVidia 7600GS. The TFT is on VGA port0 and the LCD is on VGA port1 I am using the binary drivers from nVidia (installed via the 1-Click link on the openSUSE wiki) The nvidia drivers are installed correctly and tested/working. The TFT and LCD are set up as independent desktops, the TFT at 1680x1050, and the LCD at 640x480 (for reasons I've never figured out, the nVidia driver refuses to drive the monitor at any higher resolution. This low resolution has been working just fine though for MythTV 0.20 on openSUSE10.2). MythTV version 0.20.2-9 is installed with all its various bits, and the MySQL backed is configured and is working. When I launch mythtvsetup, or mythtvfrontend on the TFT monitor, everything works correctly. The resolution of the TFT is picked up and everything loads properly. When I launch MythTV on the LCD TV, it detects the 640x480 resolution, but switches to 1680x1050 resolution (instead of scaling to 640x480 like it used to do). The result is that I can only see the top left corner of the MythTV interface. Does anyone have any hints for me here? What am I missing? [opensuse] Problems compiling alsa-driver 1.0.15 on Opensuse 10.3

Hi there, I've some problems when trying to compile alsa-driver 1.0.15. If a do a "make" i get this error[1]: I was looking to adriver.h (line 930) and there's an include to a file (pci.h) that isn't present in this package. My kernel is 2.6.22.13 ... i will try with 1.0.15rc1 package. I read about upgrading kernel, but i have some Xen VMs working preety good. [opensuse] BUG - in spamassassin sa-learn causing Kernel Errors

Listmates, I don't know whether this is a openSuSE bug or an Apache bug with spamassassin. Spamassassin's sa-learn is doing something that causes kernel errors. Take a look and let me know if I should file it with Novell or Apache. I would normally think it would just be Apache, but if it is getting to the kernel, Novell may be the right place. [opensuse] VirtualBox & dos6.22 guest

My athlon FX 2800 cpu goes to 99% immediately when the dos guest boots. There are a ton of entries on their forum regarding high cpu usage with several other guest systems, but no informative resolution at this point. Is anyone here having luck with VB from the suse 10.3 dvd version (1.5.2)? Several people over there have back-graded to v 1.4 to wait out the problem. A program I use at work is rather unstable in dosemu, and was hoping this would be more efficient...
