[opensuse] yast2, can't edit "Installation_Source"...

Hello Family, I run SuSE-10.2 on multiple machines/laptops and on one box I cannot seem to edit the "Installation Source" to change from my initial NFS install to another source. It affects everything, software package adds too. (question) I recall years ago, YAST having a standard text file that you could edit vs using the TAST console system. Can I still do that, if not can I somehow uninstall and reinstall the YAST-2 engine? Did a check on the packages and there is alot of "yast" based rpms... too many to sort thru. Hi Sean, I already tried that, but that did not help. The machine still does come up with 1280x1024. And even KDE does not provide me more than that resolution. [opensuse] Konica-Minolta PagePro 1400W printer

Have any of you used this machine with SuSE 9/3, using the driver available on the net, named "Minolta-PagePro_1400W- min12xxw.ppd" and found it to work without any screwing around? Tiger has a sale on them. Or if there's a different driver, then what is it, and how does it work? Remember, I'm using 9.3, for the simple reason that email doesn't work right on 10.0. (That apparently means that CUPS doesn't work right either, or maybe not at all, in 9.3, according to some correspondence on this forum.) I expect to stay with 9.3 until 10.3 has proven itself--or not. Not exactly what you want, but there is apache repository here: <http://software.opensuse.org/download/Apache/> It contains 2.2.x, not 2.0.x though. ~~~~~ Thank you Sunny. Since I'll be upgrading a production server using the older version of Apache, will the upgrade 'break' anything, for example SSL, PHP5, the Apache modules, and will it work the config files, especially the virtual host files? With this big version difference, I'd hate to break something. [opensuse] Kernel choices

Hi All If you were going to make a choice to download the latest (or as close to latest) kernel from the repositories - which path do you take? If i go to this mirror for example http://ftp-1.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/Kernel:/ do i go to "HEAD/openSUSE_Factory/i586/" or "Vanilla/SUSE_Factory/" I have one PC on opensuse 10.1 and one on opensuse 10.2. Any advice would be appreciated. [opensuse] Default suse 10.2 user / pass? (text only setup)

Hi, just installing Suse 10.2 on a box for the first time. (an old celeron 450). The installer would not run with a gui, it used a text-only install. After the isntall, the system booted to a text prompt "linux login:" There was never ever in the process a request that I create a username or password. What is the default username and password? A google search turned up Admin and opensuse as the password. Nope. Admin may be the username.
