Lior I used the jdk-6u3-linux-i586.rpm.bin file, as I have always done before. Same with netbeans-5_5_1-linux.bin I have narrowed down the problem a bit; seems I can run java apps, including the jdk demo apps, but all hell breaks loose if I try to use a different Look And Feel. When I try to use the GTK+ LAF, it errors out and displays: /usr/lib/<unknown>: No such file or directory. Hi, can someone explain how to install java6 (whole distro) in OpenSuse 10.3 AMD64 in a way that netbeans 6 would install? I tried the repositry packages but without success. I want to use iwl395 instead of iwp3945. But this doesn't work. After the fastest setup of Linux on a Notebook, i have some issues. All, My understanding is that RC1 installs will at some point be upgradable to GM via YOU. I just ran YOU and it did not find anything. (Yesterday it found msfonts). One weird thing: plugging in a USB hard disk with LUKS-encrypted XFS partition was working until i restore my users home directory. I just oplugged in the HD, entered the Passphrase and the partition was mounted automatically. No after entering the passphrase i get an error message in window "Decrypt Storage Device - KryptoMedia": hal-storage-crypto-setup-removable no Some KDE setting? As i said, i only restored my backup in /home I had this also with beta3 and RC1. [opensuse] opensuse 10.3 as vmware guest - autofit does not work

Hi, I installed 10.3 in vmware server (running on 10.2 :) ), just to check it out. I installed the vmware-tolls in the guest as well, and ran vmware-config.pl there. Now, 2 problems popped up: 1. The auto-release of the mouse did not work at first - it seems the config script does not update xorg.conf properly. After I changed the driver for the mouse from "mouse" to "vmmouse" and restarted X, this function is working. 2. The autofit guest function is not working. I have it selected, but when I go in Quick View mode, it does not change the guest resolution. I googled around, and searched the vmware forums, but did not find any solution. All documnets I find are just How-To's, where it says it should work. And it does not. Any advice how to proceed? openSuSE Team: After a seamless 11 hour download, a successful md5sum check, a quick growisofs -dvd-compat -Z /dev/hdd=openSUSE-10.3-GM-DVD-i386.iso, a reboot, select software and install, I just gotta say it, "openSuSE 10.3 makes XP Pro look like DOS" Great job openSuSE Team!
