[SLE] Change Audio output for Realplayer

I am running SUSE 10.0 64 bit version running REALplayer 10. I recently acquire USB headsets and would like to user them with realplayer. I can get the headsets to work with skype. [SLE] Desktop search

I wondered what others use for desktop search. That is, an indexing program for keeping track of documents on the local computer and providing a fast lookup. I know of Kat, but that has never seemed to work very well and development seems to have halted on the project anyway. Novell is pushing for Beagle, but that requires the installation of a whole load of Gnome stuff (I use KDE), Mozilla (I use Firefox) and Spamassassin. And the dreaded Nautilus.... 180Mb in all, which is all a bit much for me. Any other alternatives out there? [SLE] HELP ME! Problem with installation of Suse Linux 10.1

Hi the last days I have tried to setup it on my PC. I have downloaded all the n.5 iso images and burned on my CDs but during the installation from CD1 of "linux32_1.0_349.x86_64.rpm (10.65Kbyte)" the following error appeared: "the package has not been found on the media" If I click on details the following sentence appear: "Err:3: Package Isof-4.76-11 fails integrity check. Do you want to retry downloading it or abort installation?" I have downloaded again the iso CD1 file and nurned it on CD. But the problem occurs again and in the same point. Please can you support me, if possible? Thanks Flavio

If anyone is using Opera 9.0 in Suse 10.0 or 10.1, I would like for you to check the following. Goto www.cnn.com and click on one of the free videos shown in several places on the page. If it opens, it is a .wmp file, and plays, go to Opera, Tools, Preferences, Advanced, Downloads. Scroll down to video/x-ms-wmp, then cleck the edit button. Let me know what plugin is shown in the use plugin window at the bottom of the dialog box. Goto www.cbsnews.com, and click on one of the free videos shown in several places on the page. If it opens, it is a .smil file, and plays, go to Opera, Tools, Preferences, Advanced, Downloads. Scroll down to application/smil, then cleck the edit button. Let me know what plugin is shown in the use plugin window at the bottom of the dialog box. I can play the video on cnn, but it comes up in Kaffeine and cbsnews, all I get is a flash of the realplayer logo, maybe a flash of the video, then it goes to a grey screen. Cbsnews video works fine in firefox, but cnn not does not while the videos on news.bbc.co.uk work both in opera and firefox (they are .rm files). [SLE] postfix and SSH (TLS) plus smtp_auth

I am testing (without success so far) using our companies smtp server as our relay host. I am running here at home 10.1 x86_64 w/ stock postfix (but also tried the snapshot). I have been searching for 2 days and haven't found my problem. As a test, I tried to set it up for gmail and am having the same problem. I have tested the authentication and know it works on a different relayhost, but changing the sasl_passwd file and enabling smtp_use_tls = yes and adding the port number 465 to the relayhost still doesn't work. Any ideas to get the SuSE postfix to work with smtp.gmail.com? When I get that one working I'm sure I can get the companies going. [SLE] RealPlayer10 +Suse 10.1, no video

Using RealPlayer 10, either that installed with Suse 10.1 or uninstalling it and installing the RealPlayer10 from www.real.com, it will not display any video from either a .rm files from the plugger test page, or from vieos www.cbsnews.com. Any clue as to why it will not play these videos? [SLE] Evolution is not receiving emails

I am getting emails from a specific company and the attachments are not coming with the email. They sent the email to a number of people and myself and one other person did not receive the attachment. Four other users that received the email got the attachment. This has happened on 2 other occasions from the same company. The other users are using Outlook. One of the other users that is using outlook is having the same issue. [SLE] Can't find modprobe?

Due to a disk crash. I had to reinstall 10.1. I need to activate a kernel sound module but it seems that modprobe is missing, and YaST doesn't list it. How do I get it? [SLE] How to get Started.

I want to run Suse from a CD on a laptop. I'm confused about how to do this. Do I download all of the CDs or the Live DVD? Or will I have to dual boot the laptop? Have the disc sets for Suse 7.0 which I purchased and ran several years ago, but they are I'm sure only of historical interest now.
