What does Novell Linux Desktop 10 have that I don't?

Where is the transcript of the Meeting?

Hello, http://en.opensuse.org/2006-02-07-status-meeting-transcript does not have the transcript of the meeting. I had to be in an other meeting for a while and I wanted to read what happened while I was out. I have been unable to find an IRC log of the meeting. Will there be one posted? Hello Guys... I'm trying to setup a WiFi connectio between my Laptop and my Access Point... The AP had a Hex 128 Bits Encryption Key... I'm using ndiswrapper (the one that came with the disti) but when I'm trying to start the NIC it raise an error Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) : invalid argument " I wipe all of the ndiswrapper that came with the Distribution and install the newest one from source code (cero erros at the installation) but,,, when I try to use to start the interface it raise again the same !@#)& error... any idea ? I'm using a Compaq R3000 (with an Intel Proccesor) that came with a Broadcom 54g Built-in Wifi I use also the latest INF Files for Windows XP and also try with the ones for Windows 2000, but the same error msg --ed He who fights with monsters might take care lest he thereby become a monster. mp3 and XMMS

I think I am on the correct path, I am correct to say that is no plugin for mp2 for XMMS. If that is correct, then how would I get that plugin on my own. I only noticed this because I was looking at the plugin and notice there was a plugin for ogg and it does play ogg, but I can't play anything that is mp3 bases. Is that because licn. isse with with mp3? Thanks, sorry to be so pushy. Upgrading from SuSE 9.1 Pro

Netfilter SNAT broken on OpenSuSE 10.0

Hi, I have tried to configure netfilter snat on OpenSuSE 10.0. However, I found that the netfilter snat was broken because some website could be reached but some could not (e.g. able to reach http://www.ibm.com but stalled at http://www.ebay.com) I used the same iptables script worked on SLES 8 and RedHat FC3. I hope someone could help me to advise if there is any patch needed. Thanks a lot. John Mok

[opensuse] XMMS and Intel 82801DB-ICH4

Hi, I got something weird that driving me up the wall, I have a Dell Laptop(Not by Choose) that has Intel 82801DB--ICH4 sound call, Realplayer works and KDE plays it nices little midi's when it starts. But, the one thing that driving me up the wall is XMMS, it doesn't matter is I select ALSA, aRts, Esound, or OSS. Nothing seems to work. I even download and try to compile a fresh very of XMMS so that I can see, it the rpm vs my sound card. Nothing. Please help. KNewsTicker

Hello all, My wife was admiring KNewsTicker, which I have scrolling across the top of my screen. She asked me to set one up for her, and I thought that it would not be a problem to create a new panel, add KNewsTicker to it, and enter in the RSS sites of her interest (entirely different than mine). The option to add KNewsTicker is grayed out, apparently because I am already using it. Is there a way to run two instances on one user's desktop? We both use the same login, and I do not want to change that. I am running 9.3 and KDE 3.4.0 Level B. If not, is there a second ticker style RSS reader that I can integrate into a panel?
