Live runs out of memory during bot

I was trying to load the 9.3 Live on my dsktop which I am considering also converting to 9.3. However loading the Live! DVD it keeps running out of memory, the PC has 256mb of RAM. Is this enough? Sean -- Uh-oh -- WHY am I suddenly thinking of a VENERABLE religious leader frolicking on a FORT LAUDERDALE weekend?

Firefox & M$

Hello everyone: Not sure if I'm on the right list for this question but here goes. As you may know Firefox has a number of neat features including: CTRL + wheel mouse to enlarge text, and SHIFT + wheel mouse to move from page to page I remember seeing a posting that stated these features were disabled when Firefox was running under M$. I also remember another post that included a 'fix' for this problem. And that's what I'm looking for, the fix so my friend can enjoy these Firefox features under M$. Any help greatly appreciated. What happened to my root login?

I've been working for the last week of so setting up some custom mail services before going live with the server running SuSE 9.2. This evening I tried to log in as root in KDE, but when I did all I got was a YAST screen. Closing the YAST screen logs root out. What happened? I used to get a genuine KDE session that I could actually DO things in. Thanks Rob

Maybe if the address had been missing my name I would have gotten a spam message instead. Hello list. I answer my previous post myself since no one could shed any light upon my difficulties ; or maybe my questions were too stupid. As there were too many problems o n my laptop with modules tainting the kernel I reinstalled SuSE 9.1 on my laptop it is not perfect but at least I can work. No CD Troubles No modem troubles Network OK But no sound . I think SuSE 9.3 is not as fit for modern hardware as SuSE 9.1, which is curious. SuSE 9.3 works fine on my AMD athlon 1600 machine, which is older than my Centrino laptop.. Can you explain this ? Paul Ollion.

glabels

Hey Group; Whom ever suggested the Gnome program "glabels". Thanks! I downloaded it compiled it and it works great. One question is on a CD label with two labels per sheet, how do you get it to do "Disc 1 of 2" and on the other label "Disc 2 of 2". Kmenu Icons Too Big

Hi! I use SuSE 9.3 (kde 3.4.0), and on my main user, the icons on the kmenu are unreasonably large. On root or other users, the icons are normal size, but on my account, they are too large. How do I change this? Kcontrol didn't have a module that fixed this (the appearence&themes->icons/advanced didn't help). Thanks! -Steven

Loading modules at boot

Where does one specify additional modules to load at boot. Specifically I want my SCSI driver loaded at boot. Suse support talks about modifying a line in rc.config but I can't find that file and suspect that things have moved on since that was written. Scott
