[SLE] Thunderbird mail open link

Hi all ! I have 2 boxes running suse 9.1 and suse 9.0. I recently upgrade thunderbird to the 0.8-4.1 version from the following suse server http://ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/mozilla/thunderbird/0.8/. Now, on the suse 9.1 box, I can't open web link in thunderbird anymore except if my browser (which is firefox) is already open. This problem doesn't appear on the suse 9.0 box. Furthermore, there aren't no "files association" in the tools/option/attachments tab of thunderbird on the suse 9.1 The problem of opening web link inside thuderbird is referenced several times on the web. I try the "openlink.sh" solution, but it doesn't seem to work for me. I know that this is not really a suse related problem but a rather a thunderbird one's but maybe someone of you has faced this problem and could help me. Thanks in advance. Jean-François

Bind, DNS and Authoritativeness

I've got my previous DNS issue sorted, looks like it was just a matter of time for the changes needed to propgate. My new problem is this - I query my own DNS server for NS records from inside the network, all is good and very very groovy. I get the right response. So the DNS recognises itself as authoritative for the domain "pmsumner.eu.org". Loading MIB into ucd-snmp

Hi All! How does one go about loading a new MIB into the ucd-snmp agent (or for any agent) for that matter? We are running HP OpenView and I can load certain MIBs into their MIB Browser and I can see the MIBs there and query specific machines (Windows). However, I cannot query other machines for the specific OIDs, although I *can* read other OIDs. So, my assumption is that the agent is missing the OIDs and thus specific MIBs. So, I need to figure out how to tell the agent to load new MIBs. A shove in the right direction would be greatly appreaciated. Regards, James Mohr

Server hangs

Hi all, im having a nasty problem with my server. It's a NAS 1200 with a 2.4 Ghz processor and a terabyte of memory. However, it keeps hanging every so often (about 3-4 hourly) and shows 100% CPU usage. It's a crucial server and needs to be fully active all the time and yet whenever it does this, I have to restart it and it's becoming abit too often. postfix problem

Well, I think its a postfix problem! I have recently set up virus scanning for my email with amavisd-new and antivir: warning messages should come to virusalert@localhost (aliased to der@localhost in YaST). However, /var/log/mail shows the following errors: "Oct 24 14:28:21 javatux postfix/smtp[5722]: CF2011A62B: to=<virusalert(a)riviera.javatux.riviera>, orig_to=<virusalert@riviera>, relay=none, delay=74323, status=deferred (Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=riviera.javatux.riviera type=MX: Host not found, try again)" I have a (very) small home network ( 2 laptops, wireless adsl router, all works with no other problems) and the machine concerned is javatux.riviera Nowhere have I entered the address @riviera.javatux.riviera so I don't know where that has come from. I have made sure that I have the correct address in /etc/postfix/main.cf, /etc/amavisd.conf and /etc/antivir.conf so what have I missed? Local delivery is via procmail. ACPI on Tyan Tiger 230 with SUSE 9.1

Hi, To get PCI network cards working (100 Mb/s and Gigabit Ethernet, drivers: 3c59x, e100, tg3), I had to switch off ACPI on the following machine: motherboard: Tyan Tiger 230 BIOS: V1.03 011001 CPU: 2 x 1 GHz PIII OS: SUSE Linux 9.1 Does anybody know if ACPI works with the 2.6.8 kernel or if the problem can be fixed by a BIOS update? I don't have time to test it but, perhaps, somebody has already tried it. Without ACPI, "init 0" doesn't switch the machine off. -- A.M.
