Wireless Speedtouch 570 and 120: suggestions?

Hi All, My isp offers a combination of a Speedtouch 570 (wireless adsl modem/router) and a Speedtouch 120 wireless usb adapter. Does anybody have these running under SuSE (8.2) linux? Suggestions and recommendations higly appreciated. Regards Jan Joosten

KWord spelling check not working

I have just upgraded my SuSE8.2 to KDE3.1.3 and Koffice to 1.2.92 using APT and Synaptic. All went very smoothly, except that the spelling checker does not work in KWord. It is set up for Dictionary: English (United Kingdom), ISO 8859-1, and ASpell as it was previously. But when I try to spell check, nothing happens. I have also tried ISpell as the "Client", but that doesn't work either. Also I have tried various selections in "Dictionaries" and US-ASCII in "Encoding" ASpell works as a stand-alone version. If I try to spell check in other KOffice applications, they crash with a sig11 fault. Kmail spell checks correctly. Has anyone else had this little problem, please? I know a dictionary is not vital, but it is useful to have. Many thanks Keith

And I see that a snapshots/CENTER.3 directory was written to tape. Any ideas?

stable and playing with Gnome (gDesklets)

Now that I am stable and playing around...I have been looking into things to do with Gnome. Has anyone used gDesklets? http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/ Is there a way to install this via apt or should I just follow the instructions on the site? (I will be asking questions about everything knew and interesting BEFORE I install it from now on because I didn't ask about XD2 and we all know where that got me.) Thanks, -=Thinker

Desktop Problems after upgrading to KDE 3.1.3

After upgrading to KDE 3.1.3, my desktop was pretty hosed. I kept a copy of all my desktop shortcuts, so that was no problem. But now susewatcher is gone, and the panel will not show multiple desktops. I really need multiple desktops. Any ideas how to get this back?
