RE: [SLE] wirless pcmcia card recomendation
Cards that use the prims2/2.5/3 chipsets are worthwhile as they are well supported in Linux and compatible with the awesome HOSTAP driver. http://hostap.epitest.fi <shameless plug> Here's a HOWTO on building a Linux Access Point using such a card; http://oob.freeshell.org/nzwireless/LWAP-HOWTO.html </shameless plug>

Can anyone recomend a good wirless card for 'war driving' (excuse the phrase) with my SuSE 8.2 laptop.
I want to experiment with kismet in my area and need some advise on hardware required.
All I would say is that my airo_cs based cards no longer work with kismet because (I am told by the kismet authors) that the driver supplied with 8.2 no longer supports RFMON.
So, try to avoid those unless you want to rebuild the drivers.
