CD copying problem

I'm trying to copy a CD of a game so that I can play it at my office with someone else over our network. The game needs CD#2 in to play. I can't seem to read the CD with K3b or XCDRoast. I get an error that says it can't read a track, but the game plays fine. I'm sure this is a protection thing. Anyone know how to get around this? Tom

Thanks Lee, Changing the position of the cards did the trick. Nope, no X-Spam headers - So, evidently as Carlos and you pointed out, Spamassassin is evidently not running. rpm -q says that Spamassassin is installed but is evidently not checking my mail. (must be working - did sa-learn on some files) Couldn't find an Install file nor any how-to's so I downloaded the Install file from the Spamassassin site. Very long and confusing. Says I have to install it with CPAN.pm and then add .procmail and .procmailrc to my /home /bob directory etc. etc. Shouldn't the SuSE rpm have set it up for me? Also did a google search and found a site that generated a "local.cf" file but not sure I should use it because it seems to be old. Thanks John, Bruce, and Carlos. UK Linux magazine

Hi all, I've been an avid suscriber to Linux Journal for 3 years now and my subscription is due for renewal. I am considering alternatives and was wondering if anyone can recommend a good UK Linux magazine. Although I do think LJ will be hard to beat, I think some of it is slightly American based and would like to try a European alternative (starting with the UK if possible, but am open to suggestions) Thanks Ged -- -=SuSE Linux 9.0=-

A good book on C Programming?

How do I change the runlevel 5 screen resolution in SuSE-9.0. Sax2 doesn't make any difference. Thanks, Steve.

trouble with Linksys WPC11 and wlan-ng

I had wireless working in SuSE 8.2 with this card using wlan-ng, but can't get it to work in 9.0. I get two high beeps and a solid green light, the system log looks OK, kwifimanager shows me the signal strength, and ifconfig shows an IP address assigned. However... I can ping myself, but no one else. I know the network's OK because I can use my Zaurus with its wireless card. Where should I start looking? Getting Grub to find everything

Hi All, I need some help in configureing Grub to boot all my OS's (Dr1 Win98se/SuSE9/Mandrake9.2 Dr2 XPHome) It works for Win98 and SuSE but it gives me an error for Mandrake and says it doesn't rcognize the XP format. Soundproblem.

Hi. I run the SuSE 9.0, but I have some sound problem. I use the K7S5A Pro maiboard, and use its onboard audio. I have it set up with the Alsaconf, and I can play a testmelody, and this melody also is being played at the computer startup. But I can't play music from an audio_cd. I have this error in the /var/log/messages file. What can I do now to get Sound to work ?.
