Hi I ahve an ? i am not sure what it is related to but it seems when i boot my system maybe after 20 mins or so the three lights the caps lock and the other two start blinking and my system locks up the only thing i found was that my monitor cable into the computer was somewhat loose and i am not sure if that would all of an sudden do it after so long on any one have any ideas what else might make these lights blink and lock the machine yp thanks in advance Bob

Reorganising network/Samba

Hi, I think of reorganising my network. Now I'm using 3 WinNT servers, of which one is PDC. I would like to replace this PDC (does nothing more than file- & printsharing, although it is a DNS- and DHCP-server) with a SuSE-box. Unfortunately I can't replace the other WinNT-boxes. Is there an easy way to transfer all users/passwords from WinNT to Linux ? I know of winbind, but I never got it running properly on Samba 2.2.2. Is there an idial route to go (first do this, than do that, ...) ? I think of replacing the other boxes also (hardware, not software), so reinstalling WinNT is a possibility. hi: Can someone who knows shell scripting help me with this: I want to write a simple script that will add logins to my password file using these commands: o vi o while o read o echo o useradd ��etc�.. Hi i need to update my kernel i use the default kernel i am looking for 2.4.19 or above if there is one have to check on suse site but here is the thing i need to know once i download the kernel how do i install it and whatever else i need to run also do i need to download the kernel source for this i am not running 2.4.16 maybe i can just leave the source as is any of files i need to download thanks in advance Bob
