8.0 and schemes

Hi, In 7.1 one had the option to cammand: cadctl scheme schemename to switch between different IP arrangements at different sites. I have two problems related to this : 1] Where are the schemes now defined ? 2] If I connect eg via dial up ( from home ) then reactivating an ethernet connection later at work seems almost impossible. In /etc/sysconfig/network I have eth-pcmcia, eth-pcmcia-0 ( all created by Yast ), yet the command ifup eth-pcmcia-0 always responds with a message stating no details for given interface. Any suggestions most appreciated and TIA Francesco

Hey all, Just a quick question. My situation is this: SuSE 8.0 running as a mail/web server. It is using Fetchmail to get mail from a Demon account, and is using sendmail [I don't have time to set up another MTA] WinME running as a work machine [for the time being, until I switch it over ;o)] I have set up outlook to get mail from user "info", as I have all mail for a domain I own sent to that address. Outlook is set up to send mails from info(a)mydomain.com. When I send an email, it comes up as info(a)tigersden.demon.co.uk I went into YaST2 -> Network/Basic -> Mail (x) Permanent [Cable modem] Under "Virtual Domains" I have: Alias - mydomain.com Destination - info [just in case any get through to a non info@ address] [Next] Domains for locally delivered mail includes mydomain.com Domain for the "From" header is "tigersden.demon.co.uk" as that is my main mail "domain" Under Detailed address rewriting, I have: Local user: info Display as: info(a)mydomain.com I have 4 domains being "served" off this one machine and need to find a way to allow it to not rewrite addresses from mydomain.com, whilst making sure that machine names do not get prepended to tigersden.demon.co.uk. Am I making sense here? If not, please email me to let me know and I will do my best to try and explain. Yes, english is my first language, and not I am not very mentally organised ;o) Cheers, Jon Jeffels.

Evolution HOWTO

So.... what was the final solution to get Evolution going, anyway? I installed the latest SuSE GNOME updates from the FTP server, and that made GNOME 1.4 mostly functional. However, I can't get Evolution to work, since there seem to be some missing libraries. -ronc

SAX2 Multiple Monitors and AV-Out

Hello. Is there any way to activate the AV-out(TV-OUT) through sax2 on suse 7.3 ? Also how can i tell sax2 that i want to have two monitors active ? I have an MSI StarForce 826 (GeForce2) card and i am running XFree86 4.2.0 .
