spamassassin needs what version of perl

I have perl5.00503 on my system, an old SuSE 6.4. I just downloaded and built spamassassin 2.31 and seem to be missing a perl module it uses (Pod::Usage). I don't see anything that indicates what version of perl spamassassin requires. Does anybody know? While running the recommended tests I get the following error output: ~/Mail-SpamAssassin-2.31 > spamassassin -t <sample-nonspam.txt >nonspam.out Can't locate Pod/Usage.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.00503/i586-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.00503 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/i586-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005 .) at /usr/bin/spamassassin line 8. SPLASH screen at boot ?

puzzled by apt-get and libdbc.so

I'm new to all this, but following the instructions I just managed to install apt-get on my system (suse 8.0). But it didn't take me long to run into a problem... apt-get update worked OK, so I tried: # apt-get -S upgrade Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these. Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies: Netscape6: Depends: libodbc.so but it is not installable Depends: libodbcinst.so but it is not installable E: Unmet dependencies. [SLE] RAID 1 setup with SuSE.

Hi all, anyone had a similar experience? I'm trying to set up a RAID 1 setup on an HP Netserver (LPR), and I've done pretty much everything the Mini-HOWTO suggested (see http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/mini/Boot+Root+Raid+LILO-3.html) But, on trying to boot with the floppy to the RAID device, I get a kernel panic - "Unable to mount root fs on 09:00". The kernel *should* support RAID 1 - I recompiled it as part of the kernel (i.e. not a module); ditto automounting. The RAID partitions are both type 0xfd (RAID automount) When trying to add the original disk to the RAID partition (to sync the disks), the boot log complains that it can't import /dev/sda3 (the original / partition) because that partition has active inodes - despite the active root fs being on /dev/md0 (which, for the moment, is located on /dev/sdb3). I'm close to doing grievous bodily harm to this ruddy thing, and wondering if it wouldn't be quicker to just use Yast's RAID wizard to set up a partition and *then* copy / to it. Any advice would be much appreciated. Gideon.

Everybuddy Suddenly Crashing

I added a new person to my Everybuddy list but he kept showing up as offline, though he was online. I shut down Everybuddy and reopened it -- it started to open and flashed on the screen, then disappeared. Tried a couple of times with the same result. Also tried rebooting the pc -- no change. I have run YaST2 for the latest SuSE 8.0 auto-updates. This is serious since this is my work computer and I need messaging here ...and I am trying to promote Linux/SuSE as a M$ alternative Your informed thoughts, please? Two PPPoE clients ?

Hi, I have two external modems (alcatel speech touch home) coming from two different ISP that provide me with an ADSL connexion each. Token separately, each modem/adsl line works fine (using pppoe from the SuSE 7.2 distribution). So far so good. Now, I want both lines to be up at the same time (I can put a dedicated NIC for each modem) but for this I need to have 2 pppoed/ppp processes at the same time. Obviously, pppoed can't do it if I do not hack the code. Anybody does it before ? Just to let you know, that configuration is supposed to provide me with some basic load balancing and better availability. Any advice welcome, Olivier.

Decode base64
