XNTP config to serve Windows XP LAN clients

I am trying to configure the xntp daemon on my Linux box to allow several Windows XP/Linux workstations on my LAN to sync their times to it. The daemon keeps the Linux server time correct using a couple of external public servers. Can anyone give me some pointers ? TIA ----- Sean Akers: sean(a)akers-online.co.uk

mouse on text mode

I have a PS2 mouse and I couldn't actvate it on text mode (tty1-6). When I try it on text yast2, when I select PS2 COMPATIBLE and pres test button, nothing be done. When I execute 'gpm' the mouse pointer goes crazy. However, it works perfectly at X. Should anyone help me? Thanks

Automatically play an audio CD (resent b/c/o no solution yet)

Is there any way to simply have some background (console) task AUTOMATICALLY play that cd in background as soon as I put that cd into the drive? How do I do that? (console solutions please!) ======= thanks, also text pointers appreciated. cda is running (started with cda on), now how do I instruct cda to start playing after I have inserted an audio cd? kmail reinstall

I was just wondering if I were to install SuSE 8.0 on a new machine and wanted to move all my Kmail folders to it (inbox, outbox, drafts etc.), would it be enough to copy my "Mail" folder to CD, and then copy it to my home directory on the new machine? If I fired up Kmail for the first time, would all my folders and emails be in their proper places on the new machine? I have my emails in the mbox format if that makes any difference. If someone from SuSE is reading this, please look into fixing this list. This is the second day that I have been receiving every message about 4 times. kismet under SuSE 8.0 ?

Greetings, I am wondering anyone else on the list is running PCMCIA wireless on your laptop and have tried or currently use kismet ? (See http://www.kismetwireless.net/) It is locking up my laptop and all can do is reboot it ? If not, it must due to my Orinoco Gold PCMCIA card. This would be a very nice package to be included in SuSE :-) Regards, Dee
