I'm setting up my Linux box for something new to me. It's on ADSL, and I have my own domain for it. I want all addresses from it to come out as @clicker.org, but right now, it is coming out as @linux.clicker.org (adding the box name) I've used yast to have a domain name of domain.org, and hostname of linux (I have no imagination). I took the sendmail default (but tried the expert configuration too with the same results) "host with permanent internet connection" Any ideas? kathleen

Problem with qt-experimental and yast2

Greetings, I just installed SuSE 7.1 today and went to do AA with KDE 2.1. I installed qt-experimental and suddenly YaST2 broke. When I try to start it, I get this error: /sbin/yast2: line 65: 10412 Segmentation fault /usr/lib/YaST2/bin/y2controlcenter $arg2 $arg3 -style=platinum -fn "-gnu-unifont-medium-r-normal--16-160-75-75-p-80-iso10646-1" Does anyone know why I'd be getting this error? When I put regular Qt back in, YaST2 continues to work as normal. Thanks Kevin Breit

Fonts

I have recently u/g to 7.1 from 6.4 and u/g kde to 2.1, I have tried using qt experimental to get truetype fonts usable, but all that is happening is the normal fonts available to kde ie. helvetica etc.. disappear and I am left with very small bold face type characters from the M$ web browsing collection. Now if I use the standard qt libraries I lose truetype but gain the original fonts back, any ideas or suggestions welcomed. Yes - you need to close wvdial and then open it up again; it will then re-read the configuration file and you'll get your extended timeout. PCMCIA card configuration headache

Hi everybody, Sorry for this trivial qustion but I am quite new in the linux world although I worked on Unix some time ago. I have SuSe 6.3 installed on a Gateway Solo 9300 laptop. I try desperately to configure the PCMCIA card to be able to connect to a LAN at work. All the desktops there are connected together with a DHCP address. What I thought of is select dhcpclient in YaSt. I then typed in the IP address and the subnetwork mask related to it. But the card remains speechless. When it comes to choose the type of the card in the YaSt installation box, it is not there although at boot time, the cardmanager seems to recognize it as it displays the model (3Com 3CXFE575CT).
