nVidia AGP, XF86 4.01 and kernel 2.4.0

Having trouble compiling the nVidia kernel driver to use with the 2.4.0 kernel. I compile while running 2.4.0. After the warning about official support only upto kernel 2.2 I get: nv.c: In function `nv_lock_pages': nv.c:556: warning: implicit declaration of function `mem_map_inc_count' nv.c: In function `nv_unlock_pages': nv.c:583: warning: implicit declaration of function `mem_map_dec_count' nv.c: At top level: nv.c:853: unknown field `unmap' specified in initializer nv.c:853: warning: initialization from incompatible pointer type make: *** [nv.o] Error 1 I tried "insmod agpgart agp_try_unsupported=1" but that gives me some thing along the lines of "init_module: no such device." some Debian users seem to have gotten this to work but not me, yet. Any suggestions??? (I have the nVidia card working on 2.2 but I want to go to 2.4.0 so I can use the USB scanner I have.) Thanks, kurtrr

You can get it in different editions for different prices. First I downloaded a package from Borland, a free version, but when I tryed to install it the package was corrupted, and I had downloaded around 50MB on a 56k modem...:-þ So I bought the Foundation edition which is the cheapest one think it cost around 50$, comes with a manual and 3 CD's, if I like it I can buy upgrade an package package of the Pro or the Enterprise ed. Hi, I am trying to install a Linksys LNE100TX PCI ethernet card into linux, so I can use my Cable modem for an internet connection in Linux. I am using Suse Linux 7.0. When I run YAST1 or YAST2, the ethernet card is not recognized. Is there something I need to do to configure the card properly. font 'fixed'?

Hello Linux folkz, Just today my X server 3.3.6 crashed with the fatal error: Couldn't open default font 'fixed' errno = 111 I couldn't figure out what that default font 'fixed' is. I uncommented a couple of font lines in /etc/XF86Config and everything went back to normal. Could somebody tell me please what font name is associated with 'fixed' font. Many thanks in advance. ISDN Manual Connection

Hello, I've configured a Dynalink ISDN interface to connect to Internet. I'm using SuSE 6.4 and I've done this using yast and mode "auto". I'm able to connect to Internet just doing a ping, but I want to establish the connection manually, Does anybody know how to do it? I have another question, I want to allow some people to connect to Internet using Squid as a Proxy Server (without using the FireWall inside the kernel), but I want to do this dinamically, i.e. I want to write some kind of script that writes an ACL for an specific range of IP addresses but not for the rest, what do you think? Would someone be so kind to sent the English Staroffice addon? Currently I have the Dutch one only. The rpm is probably on the 4th CD in the directory suse/pay2 and is called so_en.rpm Please let the list know that you sent it, to prevent my mailbox from filling up completely.
