Hi, I just upgraded XFree86 4.02-2 for Suse 7.0 from XFree86 4.02-0. All rpm's were from the Suse FTP. glx module is not loaded along with the resulting unresolved dri also Both were being loaded when I used the XFree86 4.02-0 series and I had no problems whatever with XFree86 4.02 and I had been using 4.01 for a long time also. I have recompiled the DRI kernel module yet it does not help I can live for a while without the glx and DRI since anyway you do not support DRI however it is just annoying to loose a capability when you upgrade Any ideas TIA -- Togan Muftuoglu

all i want is star office in english. but my german install cds come with so_base and so_gr (or so_de, i forgot). furthermore, i cannot find so_en on the web anywhere and yast is being an absolute joke about it all! any pointers? thanks martin [greetings from the heart of the sun]# echo madduck@!#:1:s@\@@@.net -- as of next week, passwords will be entered in morse code.

Newbie rpm question

I downloaded the rpm's for kde2.01 from kde.org then ran rpm -Uvh *.rpm and recieved the following message: error: failed dependencies: icons is needed by kdebase-2.0.1-0 qt-devel is needed by qt-static-2.2.2-1 Do I need to find and install icons and qt-devel these from the SuSE DVD? Thanks, Mike

Ramen Worm danger to SuSE?

Hello Well I see a lot of you have been busy with 2.4 .. :) I was going to keep away from it for a while, but looks like I have a need/use ... I remember that the major issue seemed to be the module loader, can some kind person remind me of this.. Other than that i'ts just download/make../install and whizzy spizzy off it goes ?? scanner.h for Epson 640U, vendor and product id's

Hi. Have just changed the file scanner.h (in /usr/src/linux/drivers/usb/) to include the Epson 640U scanner which I got the vendor and product id's from /proc. How do I recompile, install and run for these changes to take effect? Is it to reinstall the modules? Thanks, Steve. -- SuSE Linux 7.0
