[SLE] /etc/securetty

I want to enable root logins from anywhere. (I know, this is bad, but this is a machine that I care little about, just want to use it to house stuff I need when I am in the field) In the past, I forget now, but I used to add entries to /etc/securetty other than tty[0-9]. I know I can simply remove this file to accomplish what I want but what can I add to this file to allow just 1 remote root login at a time? [SLE] Disappearing RPM list

Hi I just upgraded 6.3 to 6.4 on my laptop and now, when I open KPackage, there are no packages listed in the left hand window and when I open any valid RPM there is nothing in the file list tab on the right hand side. Where have all the installed packages gone? The rest of 6.4 runs like a dream :-) Any ideas what I should do? [SLE] faxing

This is something I've been trying to figure out but cant. I want to be able to fax from my desktop and I know the software is there but not sure how to set it up. I went to the suse web sight read and downloaded the hylafax and the two tiff files. I set that up following the steps in the book. Still not able to fax, and there was something about "sendfax" package. I'm using suse 6.4 with 2.2.14 any help would be gratefull. [SLE] CMOS Clock
